Silly article from top to bottom. Going back to the '07 to show how lucky they've been? What? And the whole missing the Steelers thing is so overplayed. Seems to me Pittsburgh has benefitted more when they've missed the Pats than vice versa. Pats are 2-0 vs Pitt in the BB era, correct? Also funny: How the writer dismisses Baltimore as a worthwhile potential opponent, just to show how "lucky" this team is. Good analysis.

So the Pats are lucky after losing the SB, and losing 2 division round games? I'd say the Steelers and Packers have been lucky they have had scrubs to play in the playoffs almost every year... the Pats have not been lucky at all

No one was luckier than Pittsburgh in 08 and I didn't see this article then. In that one season:

Brady is hurt
Manning loses to 8-8 team
Their 3 playoff opponents were 8-8, 9-7, and 9-7

All that and they still needed a last minute catch where Holmes barely got his feet down to win the damn thing.

Yes and ESPN is making me sick lately I cant even watch ESPN anymore. I saw no coverage for Baltimore, or New England or San Francisco.. All I saw was Jets coverage.. and people talking about Mark Sanchez.. I mean really Mark Sanchez? Who cares? There an 8-8 team and not in the play offs anymore WTF! And Tim Tebow! OMG Tim Tebow unbelievable amount of coverage.. ESPN has way to many homers working there. It is so NY biased it annoys the crap out of me. They want Tim to win soooo bad. and its fine.. it will be all the more sweeter when the Pats lay the beaten on them.

Nobody looks tough picking on the weakling. Though the media is funny as they risk so little and can take pot shots at anyone.

I (don't kill me for this) ESPN in the backgorund and I heard Marcellus Wiley made mention that the Patriots haven't won since 07 and a reference to the fact that they can't tape practices anymore.

It's such drivel that they can blatanly make things up and people buy it.
