Anyone else a little nervous right now?

This game just needs to hurry up and start already.

I'm nervous.

And I agree it has nothing to do with Denver, but to do with Tom Brady. He's gotta loosen up in these games and if the Pats start of slow in this one, my nervousness may get worse.

Three things make me nervous:

1) Denver has nothing to lose.
Huh? Their season is over if they lose, just like us.

2) We have way too much to lose, given our last two playoff appearances.
We have no more to lose than the other 7 teams playing this weekend.

3) The "God on My Side" factor. ha-ha esp under NFL parity
You are kidding right?

I actually was more confident to the Jets game last year and look what happened.
Hell yeah, I'm nervous.

Yes agreed. We really need to end Tebowmania and all of its glory.

IMO winning this one will vindicate Brady and Co for the past few seasons.

GO PATS!!!!!

I can't say the thought of sitting down on a couch and watching football makes me nervous.

I'm not nervous at all, if we can't beat the 8-8 Broncos at home we had no business competing for a super bowl.

If we get past Denver and head to the AFCC, very nervous.

I am really excited for this game.. like a kid at christmas time.. Its funny how the Patriots put me in a good mood and give me something fun to look forward to. I dont quite understand why I am so in love with Patriot football.. butt its just fun I guess.

Sadly I'll probably be too drunk to enjoy the game.

I'm excited too. It's been 2 LONG weeks!
I shudder to think how brutal next Monday-Friday is going to be if we win tomorrow.

It's the playoffs. "Playoffs? Don't talk about, Playoffs? "
Anyway, I'm always a little tense, it's the nature of the beast.
Go Pats!!!!!

Oh no, you didn't go there:rolleyes:

Does anyone still (or ever) think that joke is funny?:bricks:

I'm not nervous, because, for the first time in a long time, I don't expect the Pats to win the SB. They certainly could, I'm not dismissing that possibility, but it won't be some shocking gut-punch if they don't. It reminds me of 2001, sorta- I hope they win, and I'll be pumped if they do, but if that doesn't happen, then the depression won't be paired with shock and disbelief.

I more nervous about this game than any potential AFCC matchup. Because I think once they get the monkey off their backs, they will roll next week regardless who they play!

I am as nervous as I am for any other playoff game, which is very. The urgency and finality of the playoffs is both incredibly exciting and nerve-wracking.

That being said, if you asked me to pick last week which team we'd play, between the Broncos, Steelers and Bengals, I would have picked the Broncos. The other posters in this thread are right: if we can't beat the Broncos at home, we have no business talking about winning the Super Bowl.

I think this is the sanest way of looking at it. I am always nervous before a pats game. But as stated above the reality is if we can't beat the broncos with home field advantage we don't deserve to be playing for the Superbowl.

I have all the confidence in the world that the Patriots can beat anyone, but I am still nervous no matter who we play. I don't know how many times in the past few years, I've had to shut off the TV out of sheer nervousness.

This is the match-up I most wanted but still I've seen us flounder against teams that we should handle rather easily. I hope we come out fast and I can start drinking happily as Brian Hoyer leads the team in the final quarter or two.

im so nervous! but im overjoyed my broncos made it this far. so much better then the situation at the begginning of the season. we actually have a QB to build around! im pumped to win for afc game or im pumped to lose to see the moves in offseason to build around the option game. win win in my eyes. hope everyone on both teams gets thru the game without any serious injuries.

I bet you the main reason a lot of people are nervous because of recent playoff woes...we are all afraid about "what if they lose...again"

We blew out the Jets last year 45-3 only to be embarrassed by them in the divisional round. So yeah, I'm nervous.
