Keys to beating Denver

Interesting you should say that because some postgame analysts were speculating that Denver will shift their pass rushers inside where the Pats O-line is weaker and where teams have had great success in getting to and rattling Brady. Tom Brady is most vunerable to the pass rush that comes straight at him. Look for a different game plan from the Broncos D.

I am pretty much expecting this to happen- it's the game plan they had against Oakland which was pretty successful (moving Miller to the inside). They got to Jordan Palmer quite a few times that way.

Hopefully the presence of McDaniels will help influence more screen passes being called as a way to counter this.

Even though I said a few posts ago that they should go with Ridley for the whole game, Benny did have a great screen pass from Brady recently (I think it was the Buffalo game?) when Brady was getting a lot of pressure. It went for like 50 yards. They should use THAT play more if the Broncos start getting in his face.

I didn't read the whole thread, but offensively I expect Brady to try and use the outside a bit more with Branch, Ochocinco, Underwood, and the flats with Woodhead and Hernandez- these will all be single coverage or soft zones.

I think Denver will want to be aggressive inside with Gronk and Welker, at least initially.

As long as Vollmer can play RT when Solder lines up as the third TE, I could see this being a big part of the gameplan.

Unless of course Gronk or Welker simply win the bracket coverage. If Denver doesn't overcommit to Welker and Gronk I would be shocked.

Take 'em by surprise. They're prolly game-planning for Hannah and Haynes.
I say, "Give them b****es teh Bruschi!"

Srsly, the name of the game is, "the same". There is no cure for Gronkowski, there is no cure for Hernandez. Wes Welker? Just enough to make them weep in Denver. Law Firm will surely press the case for City of Denver vs Ridley, and our gentlemen shall prevail, despite any surprise witnesses (Woodhead!!)

Dengue (pronounced, "Donkey") fever comes down next week.

Gronk and Wes each had a whopping four receptions in Week 15. Gronk had to stay in as an extra blocker on 41 of his 76 snaps so I think the Broncos already have an answer for him. The beneficiary was Hernandez so it was a case of picking their poison, I guess, and should be again on Saturday.

Wow.
My reference to a god that doesn't begin with the letter "jesus" bent some people.
Sorry.
Next time, I'll be sure to genuflect and eat some dry crackery host before I blaspheme.

Don't get me started, you jeebus lovers. I'm happy to leave you naked, but that's for another place, perhaps in private?

Please send me your e-mail via pm; I'd be happy to shame you.

Thx.

Please. I have chunks of guys like you in my stool.

Can those of you who know who you are stop hijacking threads with your school boy bickering? It ruins it for the rest of us who want to talk football.

Give Ridley the rock!

Ridley, BJGE, and Woodhead are all adept with the screen pass and dump off. Ridley showed clearly in the preseason that he is good with the screen pass, so it's been perplexing to me why they don't do more screen passes especially when pressure comes up the middle- it may have to do with the health of the OL.

It is puzzling, particularly when Faulk used to be so good at it, so it's not like they haven't run it in the past. Pressuring Brady up the middle and rattling him has got to be what Denver is planning (I don't think they can cover all our weapons), and Baltimore after Denver, if it comes to that, so getting the screen game going now would be great.
