Keys to beating Denver

Status
Not open for further replies.
Keys:

1) Use the 3 man front like they did from the start of the 2nd quarter on in the last game that they played against Denver.

2) Contain Tebow in the pocket while limiting the running game.

3) Double Coverage on Thomas.

4) Watch for the crossing pattern to the TE that can turn into a deep Go route. They burned Polamalu twice with this. Once deep and once on a mid-pattern.

5) Keep Gary Guyton, Sergio Brown and Matt Slater on the bench except for special teams. Julian Edelman is your friend and probably your best option of covering Royal in the slot.

Hit Tebow as much as we can, even if he pitches, hit him anyway.

We don't have to worry about the RB catching dump-off passes because Tebow either has no interest in checking it down or can't.

I said this in the game thread - I really don't think he can make the short/intermediate throws with any consistency. Tebow was allowed to make all of the long passes because the Steelers were playing 8,9 or 10 in the box on 1st & 2nd down of every series, and there was no one there to stop it. I really don't see the Pats over-committing on every play like they did. If they just stay true to their roles on D - we will be fine.

I think the key to winning the game is to keep Von Miller's Paws off Brady and to NOT turn the ball over.

I say we stay the course...

1. Pray to Satan for victory.

2. Disciplined run defense.

3. Play the 4-man front, with no man coverage out back; bump and whine at LOS. Create big pressure with blankets beyond the 5-yard.

42. Hail Satan!

If that's a joke, bad joke, and in incredibly poor taste. Hopefully you are the exception and not the rule on this board, and country.

running the ball well is important vs denver

also forcing turnovers

when denver usually wins with tebow, it's because he hasn't turned the ball over

denver's D is the kind of good that if the offense of denver doesn't turn it over, their defense , unless you get a run game going, won't give up alot.

they have a damn good pass rush, and champ is still champ

Having McDaniels on our staff can't hurt.

KC give up 200 yards on the Ground last week and denver still only had 3 points the Key to winning is not giveing up the big play like the steelers did if the pats can stop the big play and keep Brady on he's feet they should win

Don't turn the ball over.

Don't let them go out to a big lead before coming back.

Protect TB12 from those animals Dumervill and Von Miller.

Get the ball to Gronk and Hernandez.

Just let the Patriots be the Patriots, and let the devil take the hindmost!

turnovers turnovers

Also, as per usual, the Broncos have no one who could even think about matching up with Gronk on their best day. That means he should have like 20 targets.

Lighten up, dude. Jeez.

Fumbles were a key turning point in the regular season win. After almost fumbling the game away, it's worth noting the Broncos tied for the lead league in fumbles (30), and led the league with most fumbles lost (17). They also finished tied for 26th in turnover ratio (-12). The only play-off team worse than that was Pittsburgh.

Hopefully our secondary takes notes. Maybe more zone coverage to make Tebow try and read the defense instead of man where he can make one read and run if it isn't there.

Why would the Pats play the 4 man front that Tebow tore apart last time???

Take 'em by surprise. They're prolly game-planning for Hannah and Haynes.
I say, "Give them b****es teh Bruschi!"

Srsly, the name of the game is, "the same". There is no cure for Gronkowski, there is no cure for Hernandez. Wes Welker? Just enough to make them weep in Denver. Law Firm will surely press the case for City of Denver vs Ridley, and our gentlemen shall prevail, despite any surprise witnesses (Woodhead!!)

Dengue (pronounced, "Donkey") fever comes down next week.

Lighten up, dude. Jeez.

Sooners have earned their reputation.

And there's somethings - like that - that I don't joke about. If you're offended by that, I'm sorry.

Seriously embarrassing...

What I think is much more embarrassing, Jack, is that you didn't think the post was offensive. Then again, maybe you're just another jack.
