What I think is much more embarrassing, Jack, is that you didn't think the post was offensive. Then again, maybe you're just another jack.

I don't see where joking about one mythological deity is any worse than another. It's all just fun in literature. If you are so delusional to actually get upset about someone mention/joking about a deity/mythology, then I really feel sorry for you.

turnovers turnovers

pats are what...70-7 in the past how many years when winning turnover battle..

was posted here not too long ago

I think the number was more like 103-4 when we win the TO battle, in the Belichick era

If its mythical, why joke about it? Why even bother?

You just contradicted yourself.

Sooners have earned their reputation.

And there's somethings - like that - that I don't joke about. If you're offended by that, I'm sorry.

Yeah, because we have no religious fanatics in Oklahoma. (eye roll).

Hey maybe you're on the wrong side this week. This is the DARK SIDE.

Either way, you get your panties in a wad too easily.

I read stuff that offends me a lot. Like uptight posters trying to impose their beliefs on others.

My answer is to just scroll past. Your mileage may very.

Joke:
1. something said or done to provoke laughter or cause amusement, as a witticism, a short and amusing anecdote, or a prankish act: He tells very funny jokes. She played a joke on him.
2. something that is amusing or ridiculous, especially because of being ludicrously inadequate or a sham; a thing, situation, or person laughed at rather than taken seriously; farce: Their pretense of generosity is a joke. An officer with no ability to command is a joke.

How does something being true/fiction have anything to do with the ability to joke about a subject matter? I guess all sketch comedy, cartoons, and exaggerated standup is all pointless and contradictory. No reason to joke about bad fiction, right? How about video games? yeah, no reason to play or discuss anything there. You must not watch any movies or tv shows, right? Wait, you believe in nonsense and criticize intellects who point out a problem with you're opinions...

This country needs better education.

not to deter from the subject, but it wasn't your joke, and you were the one offended by it. you're on the internet. if something offends you just ignore it.

ANYWAY...gotta put a spy on Tebow and play zone D. never leave the backfield open like we just saw.

How much it will help is anybody's guess. Did Fox retain any of Josh's staff?

Not sure, I assume none, but he will be very familiar with the players, since he drafted and coached a lot of them.

Maybe he was too busy not caring to be offended. I know I was.

One adjustment they made in the first game was to discourage the option game by hitting Tebow a lot, causing one fumble and getting a few more good hits in. The defense started to turn when they told the edge guys to make a beeline to Tebow whenever it was an option and clobber him, ignoring the pitch guy.

I have no idea why Pittsburgh didn't do this. Seems like James Harrison's dream come true.

Wow.
My reference to a god that doesn't begin with the letter "jesus" bent some people.
Sorry.
Next time, I'll be sure to genuflect and eat some dry crackery host before I blaspheme.

Don't get me started, you jeebus lovers. I'm happy to leave you naked, but that's for another place, perhaps in private?

Please send me your e-mail via pm; I'd be happy to shame you.

Thx.

Tim Tebow, meet Longinus, a.k.a. Bill Belichick.

Wow, you have more guts than brains bro.

FWIW, I saw it as a reference to the Tebow sketch, where "Jesus" suggests that BB is the devil. . . .

If you were really offended by that, I'd suggest an activity better suited to your delicate sensibilities, like reading Family Circus.

I think the key to winning the game is to keep Von Miller's Paws off Brady and to NOT turn the ball over.

Interesting you should say that because some postgame analysts were speculating that Denver will shift their pass rushers inside where the Pats O-line is weaker and where teams have had great success in getting to and rattling Brady. Tom Brady is most vunerable to the pass rush that comes straight at him. Look for a different game plan from the Broncos D.

Haven't read the entire thread but I will chime in:

- Playmakers, esp in the secondary, I believe 15 is gonna take his shots, he is all about trust in his receivers now. Take the ball away and give another possession to our offensive. We all know the power of turnovers.

- Good tackeling!

- A good start. Don't leave it close in the 4th for this kid.

- good O-line play. Protect your mealticket.

- poise. Don't let the stage be too big for you. The players need to treat it like any other regular season game.

- PLAYMAKERS.

Why would the Pats play the 4 man front that Tebow tore apart last time???

Right - they had to switch from 4-3 to 3-4. So my keys are:

1. Come out in 3-4 alignment and stay in your assignments.
2. Keep safeties back (don't be dumb like Steelers), and make it Chung & McCourty. If they get some rushing yards, they get them. The guys up front have to take care of business and limit the rush (which they have had a problem with lately - what up with that?). Big Vince we need YOU.
3. Don't put Ninkovich on Tebow. He can't handle it.
4. Keep the pressure on Tebow and make him throw short. He is still incredibly inaccurate in short passing, but showed last week that he can throw a nice long ball to an open receiver, so cover the receivers long and hope he misses short.
5. Protect Brady. Don't let Dumervil or anyone else get a wide open shot on Tommy. Give him the freedom to tear the Broncos apart, which he will if he is well protected.
6. Use Ridley for the whole game. He's our best back right now and deserves a chance to get going.
7. Come out fired up and inspired. If things don't go well for a series or two, don't get down; just keep playing. Make adjustments like you've been doing all year long.
8. Get the crowd into it if you have to (don't think you'll have to). It's okay with the fans when Big Vince or some of the other guys gesture that they need help from the crowd. Sometimes we are so into the game we forget, and we don't want to be maligned by our fellow posters the next morning.

Go Pats! I am getting really excited for this game!
