I know this doesn't make sense, but I think the gameplan the last couple weeks is to "dig a big hole for yourself, and then climb out". Those 21 were so easy, that we HAD to just kinda let them happen.

I'm pretty sure it is because this is statistically the worst pass defense in NFL history.

I think Belichick let Matt Patricia run the D this year and it shows. The Pats defense is as fundamentally bad as the Eagles defense was, both run by rookie coordinators.

Sure, it's a work in progress. Then maybe by 2025 we will have a league average defense at this rate.
