Word is a torn ACL with some degree of fear he may have sustained more damage.
Real bummer. I hope he is able to come back. How old is he anyway?

That was as ugly as it gets. It was perfect timing in a really bad way. The second Peterson plants his foot, the defender makes contact with the knee which made it impossible for his foot to come off the ground and lesson the impact.
Every time I see something like this, I am always amazed it does not happen a lot more often.
And then they lost Christian Ponder to a concussion on the very next snap.
He needs to go find Welker's surgeon ASAP.
Who was arguing with me that it's a smart idea to give a RB 100 mill when Peterson had that ankle injury?
Hope for a good recovery. Enjoy watching him run.
If you treat Welker as the exception with respect to rehab, the usual time is 12 months to come back and at that, they are rusty, it gives him a year and a half to be ready for training camp 2013. It's not like the Vikings are competing for the Super Bowl ( or anything other than the first pick in the draft) so his incentive is to get healthy, not come back too early.Sorry but that looked like a "see you in 2013" kind of hit.
.
I will not play my 100mil player if he is not 100% in a game I gain nothing from. If he was just about anybody, I will agree with you, but come on man...

He did not need to play in this meaningless game too. Playing for your fantasy fans? This is fecked up.
