...this line:

423-640 (66.1%), 5390 yds, 8.42 ypa, 41 td, 18 int

That would be, by any measure, an incredible season.

If he continues on his current pace, one INT every 36 throws or 2.8% of all his throws is not bad at all. A 2:1 TD/INT ratio is human...god forbid.

That would basically be his best statistical season yet. Better in most categories than 2007. It would, however, be a career high in INTs.

While some might argue that the data is skewed because of the first few weeks of the season, I would argue that it is lower than it could be because of our upcoming schedule. Despite have a few shaky games, Brady is having a statistical MVP season. If it weren't for that young guy in the other conference, I think we'd be seeing another unanimous MVP.

The only stat I'm interested in is wins. In the words of Al Davis, "Just win baby".

lol what

'07 was far and away the better season, followed by last year.

But I've heard from reliable posters that we'd be undefeated with Hoyer at QB.

yep.

It really feels like we are the 2000s colts. The offense is now what we rely on and Brady breaks records.

Screw stats...

When you add in the fact that Koppen has been injured most of the season, Vollmer missed a few games and was replaced by a rookie for those, and that Waters is brand spanking new, it makes these numbers even more incredible.

If the o line jells and plays better these last 7 games, especially in the running game, then Brady is going to finish with outstanding numbers.

5,300 still on pace to Break Marino's single season passing record. I hope he gets this one. I think he very well should sure he still has to deal with the late season new england elements but the level of competition the rest of the season should keep him on pace if not allow him to make it bigger.

I think you can also take the level of competition and assume he might throw a few less picks the rest of the way (heck you could even use the law of averages to assume that).

Brady is just absolutely nasty its so much fun to watch. Keep it up Tommy and hopefully you add some more records to your resume on your way to adding the more important number 4.

I think that both Brady and Brees stand a good chance of breaking Marino's all-time yardage record. Rodgers also might but I don't think so, but with the rest of his stats it won't matter that much.

Still, 3 QBs this year having pretty amazing seasons. A lot of fun to watch.

Well, maybe they're right. After all, the Pats ARE, happily, undefeated with Hoyer at QB.

Well here are Aaron Rodgers projected stats

Comp. Att. YDS TD Int.
382 524 5100 50 5

Here is the thing, both of these players play in cold weather environments/ Their stats will always go down in December.

They both will have great seasons, but neither is throwing for 5000 yards, and maybe Rodgers gets 40TDs, but no where near 50.

Last year, Brady got BETTER as it got colder. The guy is used to bad weather, it is not that far-fetched to believe he will keep or improve pace. When the field get slippery, it is way more difficult for DL to rush the passer and to cover receivers. Give Brady the time to find Welker, Branch and the TEs and he'll put up astronomic numbers, as last year showed.

The 18 picks would be horrible. Who is he, Peyton Manning now?

Why are we so caught up in his stats. For years Pat fans accused Colt fans of throwing stat parties for Manning, while New England fans were celebrating championships from Tom Brady.

Tony Romo has impressive stats, and he doesn't impress me at all. At the end of the day Brady will be judged on whether he's winning or not.

Who cared about stats with no hardware but when you have the hardware to back it up stats are useful to break ties or just to put a barometer on the seasons that dont end with more hardware.

I find this comment and you arent the first to make it to be funny. You act as if we just said stats were for losers back then when really the argument was why does everyone think Peyton is better because of his stats when he kept losing to Tom. Now that Peyton has his own hardware I think we can look at the stats of both the guys to place them on a list with other great champions of the past. Using a combo of the two to create a list IE Mannings stats are so rediculous but he only has one yet he is high up on the all time greats or Bradshaw having 4 rings but not the stats and being a little lower on the lists.

But an even simpler answer would be we started caring when are guy started breaking records like crazy.

You fans can keep your stats Brady, the 2007 model. I just want the Brady who does whatever it takes to win football games and unflappably goes undefeated post season. Remember THAT Brady?

Yep, we remember him, thats the same Brady putting up numbers at a record breaking pace this season. Do you really think he wants to stop at 3 and won't do whatever it takes to get #4?

We still have "THAT" Brady, it's the team around him that has changed and requires a different strategy to achieve victory than we used back in 2001-2004.

edit: as much as we'd love to see the defensive team and running game emphasis with PA passing mixed in, we don't have Bruschi, Vrabel, Seymour, Johnson, Harrison, Dillon, etc. anymore. Every offensive record there is, except for maybe the Pats single season rushing record will fall over and over during the next decade. The game has changed. Marino's record will probably be surpassed several times over the next decade.
