I haven't see Brown show the same aptitude for laying the smackdown either.Page is better than Brown. 38 not so special should not be playing significant minutes @ safety.

The Patriots need to establish the middle of the field as a no go zone. I'm prepared to take a defenseless receiver penalty every now and then so teams get the memo.
Thats ridiculous, but its kind of hard to get excited about a guy we could have kept and chose not, that went on to get cut by the next team. You are missing the point, Bill stuck with them. The 85 Bears defense could be available but since Bill chose these guys they are better for our franchise.
Bill didn't choose to have Page so he would be a liability if he played here.
I'm not sure we're proposing that Page should be starting Andy, more that Sergio Brown has shown significantly poor form that warrants an upgrade at the position.Thats ridiculous, but its kind of hard to get excited about a guy we could have kept and chose not, that went on to get cut by the next team.
Maybe he could be an upgrade, I just don't see much value in the guy.
Perhaps I am wrong, but I just don't see evidence of BB operating that way.I think the unfulfilled promise of Josh Barrett was one of the reasons BB let Merriweather and Sanders go.
You may be right, but I don't see Page added much if any help. I'd love a quality safety, but one we let walk who got cut midseason by Philly doesnt seem like much of an answer to me.However giving the injury situation we have in the defensive Backfield makes Page a no brainer to bring back.
I don't think that was the case, he signed very cheap in Philly.I've heard reports that money was the main reason he didn't resign here.
Maybe, maybe not. The guy we replace with him isnt going to be playing safety, he is going to be playing special teams. I don't recall Page being much of a special teamer. But now that wouldn't be the case. He's at least familiar with the system and semantics. You might not think he's the "answer" to our Safety issues, but his certainly would be an improvement over what we have playing there now.
That is a fine idea, but I think this is the wrong player. Beating out Brownn puts him on special teams. Do you really think thats an upgrade?I'm not sure we're proposing that Page should be starting Andy, more that Sergio Brown has shown significantly poor form that warrants an upgrade at the position.
I'm getting the feeling that there's something we don't know about him getting cut.

He played zero minutes at safety last game with one starter inactive, another recently IR'd and a newly signed rookie playing 100% of the snaps.Page is better than Brown. 38 not so special should not be playing significant minutes @ safety.

Perhaps you think Page is a lot better player than I do.
It speaks more about my appraisal of Sergio Brown's performances than it does Page, let's put it that way. That is a fine idea, but I think this is the wrong player. Beating out Brownn puts him on special teams. Do you really think thats an upgrade?

I don't think BB will bring Page in anyway. I don't recall any such signings in recent history.
If you say so.Brown has been taking snaps @ safety as well as his ST's role this season. Page is a better player than Brown, thats all that matters.
I see it as change for the sake of change. It speaks more about my appraisal of Sergio Brown's performances than it does Page, let's put it that way.

If you say so.
Brown pllayed zero snaps at safety last week, with a newly signed rookie playing instead.
He is, at this point a special teamer. I get the venom towards Brown, but just don't see what Page does for this team at this point. Thats all. You don't have to agree with me, but that is my opinion.

The fact that BB thought Ventrone was a better option than Brown on Sunday is telling. Especially when he cuts Ventrone and keeps Brown. That tells me that Brown DOES have some value as a special teamer, but has no business being on the field in a regular D. At this point I'd much rather have Slater or Edelman thrown in there over Brown,Maybe, maybe not. The guy we replace with him isnt going to be playing safety, he is going to be playing special teams. I get the hate for Brown, I just think its misdirected at getting a reclamation project who has not played well since a severe injury just to vent that frustration.
If Page could play, I'd be 100% in favor.
I just think this is Good Idea, Wrong Player.
Clearly Ventrone.. he hasn't been released enough yet.Why wouldn't we look at him? He is a FS who has played in the system... all he has to do is beat out Moore or Ihedigbo and he would make this team better.
What would we have to lose?
