After todays game...Ocho cinco, keep him or cut him?

6 games does not a season make.

I'd like to wait a full 10 games to see if he comes around. But, I've never been one to shoot from the hip.

A good poster here (cant remember who) said if hes not better after bye week then we've seen what all he can do. I remember Reiss said during the chat that we are kidding ourselves if we think he will contribute much more than he is now which leads me to be a little pessimistic about this.

First two games after bye will let us know all we need to know about him. My biggest fear if he gets cut is a stupid rival like the Jets picking up or another team.

wtf would cutting him accomplish? Are there better receivers sitting around at home waiting for a phonecall? And is this seriously what some of you people are focusing on after that game?

The reason why he's struggling is because he doesn't know the offense fully. So I dunno how anyone would reason from that that we should replace him with someone else who will have the same issue.

Johnson has been a big disappointment, but I say keep him. At this point he is probably just Branch insurance as an outside receiver. But most of the time when Brady needs to move the chains, he'll have the Welker/Branch/Gronkowski/Hernandez combo out there.

Dumb thread started by, and supported by the masochist police who flagellate themselves whenever a player makes a mistake. If Ocho is the easy target, how soon will we have a Wes Welker poll. After all how can we afford to keep a player who only can product 46 yds after being targeted so often.

AND then we can have thecut Aaron Hernandez poll. After all how can we keep a guy who keeps getting penalties and puts the ball on the ground so consistently

How many weeks? How many did Welker and Branch get? Gronkowski and Hernandez?

Yeah it frustrating but give it some more time. At this point we just want to see contributions right? He's not going to start over Branch and Welker when Gronk and Aaron are on the field.
If Chad has this much trouble picking up the offense how do you think someone else is going to fit in so fast?

I like Ocho. But, I'm getting tired of all the "I'm getting tired of the Ocho bashing" posts. He's not getting it. We are almost half way thru the season and, nothing! We use him sparingly and when we do, he doesn't always come thru. The averages arent adding up. I dont see any argument to keep him over anyone else. If someone has to go, it should be him. the fact that the Patriots explored trading for Brandon Lloyd is pretty telling IMO what the Pats organization feels abotu ocho right now

I wouldnt be surprised to see a move made in the Bye week...either a trade for another WR, or a signing of someone(maybe a moss etc.)

the season is almost half over and Ocho could only find the field for 3snaps in the first half...

He doesn't even need to know the entire play book. He and TB should have 6 or so plays that they are both comfortable with. There's no excuse. If BoB isn't putting him on the field and TB isn't throwing to him when he is, what's the point? Play Price. He's probably a better blocker anyway.

We continue to be excited about the lack of productivity from our #6/#7 receiver (after Welker, Branch, Hernandez, Grankowski and Woodhead.

Ochocinco is just fine in this role. We also have Edelman in this role, although he is also a returner.

We had one of the best offense EVER last year. Our #4 and #5 receivers totaled 2-3 catches per game.

Cutting him makes no sense. At least get something for him. Tough to see him make the next year with what he has shown so far. Still time to turn it around though.
