A Hernandez

Cromartie is an overpriced douch who sucks at being a CB.

If Hernandez is at 100% and plays this Sunday no way the Jets beat us. Since the Cleveland game the Pats are undefeated with a HEALTHY Hernandez he played in the playoff game but of a hip injury and didn't have many snaps.

First, he won't be 100%, and with the Pats bye week, it would probably be prudent for the Pats to be careful with him this week.

That said, don't say the Jets have no chance, even as awful as the Jets looked against the Ravens, the Pats are not the Ravens on defense, and Hernandez played in the playoff game last year, that didn't help the Pats at all.

How old are you, 10?

Cromartie is a very good CB who is off to a better start his year than he was last year. The penalties against him, about 75% of them have been complete BS.

That makes up for the holding penalties and PI Revis gets away with on 95% of his plays then.

I particularly enjoyed the TV replay close-up arm bar on Torrey Smith Revis committed for no flag.

Nah, that is just Pats fan spin.

I could make the same argument about the Pats OL and their penchant for holding and the league over protecting Brady.

Revis is great because of not just his physical ability, but because of his technique, he presses and is as good a physical CB as there is in the league.

I just said IF HEALTHY and I also mentioned he was playing of his hip injury and his snaps were limited. Alge Cumpler shared the most snaps with Gronk...I just see him being the X Factor for the Pats offense and don't see how the Jets can win if he is playing at 100%. (Again IF)

The TE's are certainly the staple of their offense, and they are both good.

But Hernandez won't be 100%, even if he plays, and with him, his legs are more important because of his speed and explosion, he'll be missing that for a couple of weeks even when he does return, especially while playing with a brace on his leg.

Revis cheats on almost every play and I'm a fan of his play. The fact that a slow motion replay actually showed how he does it was vindication for those who have long held the position that he gets preferential and favorable treatment from officials.

Sorry I just disagree.

It's funny coming from a Pat fan though, who saw this kind of play, very good CB play every week when Ty Law was a Patriot. Revis, being Law's nephew has a lot of Law in him in his technique and how physical of a player he is.

The rules had to be changed because of how physical the Patriot DB's used to play.

I rally think the Jets come to play. I can see a Jets W in this game.

Well, I'll say this. The Jets were embarrassed on Sunday, they aren't nearly as bad as it seemed, at least on offense. The defense and ST's have played well most of the year, they deserve a mulligan after the Raider game, they pretty much returned to their norm and shut down Rice and the Raven offense, which has been pretty good this year. The Jets have Leonard back and still finding his grove, and the defense has more speed this year, up front on the DL and the addition of Maybin could have boosted their pass rushing attack.

The offense is struggling because of an OL that is out of sync and missing Mangold and Turner. Mangold will probably play this week, the kid Baxter had a rough week against the Ravens after actually playing pretty well against the Raiders. The Ravens just brought it, they brought everything and the kitchen sink, it seems the those Ravens, who all love Rex, also seem to bring it a little harder when they play against his team. The Jets will have to figure that mystery out another time, but the Pats are going to get an emotionally charged and angry Jets team this week, it's probably the silver lining of the week for me, I'd actually be a little more concerned if we were coming in after a hard fought victory against the Ravens. Rex will have his group ready, and the Pats D will be a pretty significant drop compared to what they just faced, Sanchez and the offense should have an opportunity to right themselves. I expect a much more physical Jets team, and they'll need that, especially in the time of possession battle, the Jets will succeed if they bring it defensively, and they are physical on offense and keep the Pats offense off the field.

There's no comparison. The rules of today are different compared to the rules of yesteryear. We all know previous DB's wouldn't be allowed to get away with what was once accepted today. The fact that Revis is allowed to takes away from the quality of his greatness.

If it's good for Revis then it should be good for all corners to grab receivers like he does. This is why I won't compare OL holds as it's the same for everyone.

wow...real longwinded "analysis" there Perfessor ToeJam McGreen...I have only ONE simple question for YOU to answer.....who is the better QB ...Tom Brady or Mark Sanchez...as everyone knows, I've asked you this simple question now about 500 times and have yet to get a simple answer...you are over the top opinionated on everything else...what's YOUR opinion...Brady or Sanchez....we'll wait....

What is it you want to know? What is the obsession? One is a future HOFer I'm twilight of career, the other is a 25 yr old QB with a lot of potential and who has achieved a lot in his young career.

You may be in the twilight but Brady certainly is not.

BTW Sanchez won't even get to Eli Manning's level never mind Brady.

I certainly agree that he is a douche of a human being, and is someone who is very easy to dislike. Personally, I can't stand him, and can't think of too many players who I dislike more.

That said though, I respectfully disagree about your assessment of his talent level. He is more than adequate at playing opposite of Revis, and gives the NYJ a very good CB tandem--at least at playing the pass anyway. I don't think he's too great against the run, but I could be wrong.

He is probably overpriced, sure; but then again so are many players.

I hope I'm wrong, but I'm wondering if BB doesn't wait until after the bye to bring Aaron back, as we need him for the rest of the season much worse than these next two games; although if there were a team that we'd need Hernandez for it would certainly be the Jets. I think the offense is significantly more limited without him, especially against this particular team.

We could really use him this week, but at the same time BB has to be cautious.

It will be a long week wondering, but I'm not going to get my hopes up too much.

Oh good, I see know that RayRay has been banned from both JI and the gang green, we inherit him. Lucky us.
