Damn right. That is the way it should be done. Every NFL team should get this and learn how it is done.

This board would possibly explode the Internet if the Pats had Wenger in charge. "Trade" one of your best players to a rival. "trade" your best player and get absolutely nothing back in terms of new players. Put that with a "roster" full of in nfl terms developmental 5th and 6th rounders and the fact you hand't come close to winning anything for six years and a refund would be the least you'd want. Yesterdays game was like Pats losing 56-3 to the Dolphins for Arsenal.

Arsenal loses 8-2 and someone writes in...."Everyone, calm down. The game was much closer than the result suggests." and hes serious.

But if you complain then you are obviously overreacting!!

Im sorry but you cant compare what happend in old trafford to a regular nfl game, last time arsenal lost by 8 goals was in 1896 or somthing, when a team like the giants will lose to the eagels by 70-10 it would be reasonable, until that fans need to know how to lose without getting their money back.

Last season Spurs beat Wigan 9-1, and the players themselves paid the fans back!

It's not what you expect, but when a team knows they were crap, it's good to see they know it!

As an Arsenal fan its tough to watch my team completely turn to ****. The way the team has been run the past few years they should give the fans their money back. They have sold off all of their best players but Wenger refuses to spend the money. It would be like Belickick trading off Brady, Welker, Mayo and McCourty, then refusing to use the draft picks.

In terms of the running up the score thing, it doesn't exist. There is no such thing as running up the score. The point of soccer, like football is to score, and if you can't stop the opposition from scoring its your fault not theirs. If you don't like it do something to stop it. In my opinion it is much more disrespectful to stop trying than to keep putting points on the board.

.

Arsene made alot of mistakes in the last couple of years, first he didnt pay enough attention to the defense, there isnt a normal stopper that could make impact (thats why they are after Per mertesaker and Alex from chelsea), wenger also is one of the cheapest coaches in the EPL, the financial status of the club is absolutly great, and with the depture of fabregas and nasri its even more importent to make some moves, but ofcourse arsene lives in utopia, and he will never wast money on a good player, just bring an african\french player that no one knows to sell him in 3-4 years, just to say the team made a profit of money, where are the titles aresne? :bricks:

P.S - Im a chelsea fan, and as much as i dont like arsenal, their situation is pretty sad.

Wenger's gone Al Davis on Arsenal Wilfork#75. He's still resting on the late 90's early 00's success you enjoyed.

Right now i'd rather have Al Davis running them into the ground. At least he would make it interesting as we lost, with Wenger it just isn't any fun anymore.

Thank you for nearly costing me my breakfast by even suggesting the possibility. :bricks:

Wilfork75....I've jumped on the Liverpool bandwagon big time, since John Henry bought the team last year. The guy is throwing money at their roster and they look sharp. I'm still wondering what all the fuss is about regarding Andy Carrol though. Anyway, nothing better than an early morning weekend match to get get my sport fix in. And how about Barcelona....like watching the 2007 Patriots offense. There's Barcelona....and then the rest of the world.

I'm more intrigued by the fact that two young stars up and left for Barcelona and Manchester City without as much as a whimper. That can't bode well for the social standing of a Big 4 club when it comes to the transfer market.

As for Andy Carroll borg, given the nippy and creative forwards Liverpool signed, having a respectable center half like Carroll gives them an aerial target to feed off.

I'm not sure what the deal is with Wenger. Is he that arrogant that he only wants players that he's formed? Maybe, but Arsenal is one of the few profitable clubs in Europe, so the money is there to spend. There was no way but down when they sold Nasri and Cesc though. They still have a lot of good players, but there is no leadership now. This could be a mid-table season if their morale gets buried too badly.

To return back to the central theme of the thread, no way does anyone in the NFL simply accept that they got beat. It's always someone else's fault. "They were too good it wasn't fair, they tried too hard, they were holding, the piped in noise, they used a camera and deciphered, in 15 minutes, what would take hours" is a much more comforting way to deal with a loss than simply being beaten because the other side was better that quarter, half, game, or season.

Altough Mourinho is normally pretty good at blaming everyone else, or trying to fish hook another coach.

Former big 4 club, I think we are destined for middle of the table this season. Letting Fabregas and Nasri go is the most disheartening thing. We have heard for years that Arsenal won't go and spend big money on players because they are developing their youth. But then they go and sell off their best young players. If they don't change the way they opperate soon they are going to lose a lot of fans. I don't really care about winning as long as they make their best effort to win, and I just can't say they are at the moment. Luckily I follow more than enough sports to really care anymore. I can't wait for the next two weeks to finally watch the best run organization in Sport playing meaningful games again.
