I'd hardly say Mankins, Solder, Volmer and Light are indicative of building on the cheap. Mankins alone probably has a contract that would have equaled the top 5-7 of Patriots championship lines (adjusted for inflation).

Connolly, Wendel, Ohrnberger = building the RG position on the cheap

No.... the first "He's too big to play guard" that came to mind was Leonard Davis. Do you have that film analysis of Solder at RG yet?

Of course, you know i have all the coaches tapes of preseason games sent to me by netflix.

So you're opinion is we wasted a first round pick on a tall backup guard because there's no way Solder beats out Light?

Good, strong pass by Mallet on that completion to Tate.

Did Edelman get hurt as well?

Good catch, Mike. RT: @MikeGiardi: Julian Edelman left the sidelines. Docs were working on his hand and/or finger #Patriots

No, my opinion is that griping because Light is just a left tackle is idiotic. The team has known that for years, yet it's somehow been able to field a quality O-line in previous seasons.

It seems like the Pats sustained quite a few injuries tonight. Of all of them, Welker's injury causes most concern. He is so important to the offense.

Like most of the starters on our three Super Bowl teams?

Which one of Connolly/Wendell/Ohrnberger is playing as well as those starters on the three Super Bowl teams?

the game was exactly what it looked like. Detroit wanted to make a statement to the league against an elite team. New England realized it was a preaseason game and was more concerned on if they could beat the hurricane home instead of beating the Lions.

That's a BS excuse. Detroit dominated our o-line and that's where it all fell apart

Now I have to watch the other lions games. I wonder how other teams coped with that D-line.

How is that a BS excuse? The Lions came out sharp and the Patriots came out flat. That should be obvious to anyone who watched the game.

Did we get Maroney back ? ah never mind, it was tate who was busting a move after fielding the punt

That's what I thought as well!

Maybe he'll be invited onto Dancing with the Stars next season.

Agree. The Patriots were never into this game and now have to worry when and how they will get home.

I agree. I'm saying the whole "worried about the weather" is a BS excuse

And the Jest will be moist after this result!
