Edwards' defense is playing with a lot of confidence right now and is flustering Rivers. Looks to me like KC has seen something on film and is using it to shut down the Chargers' O.

Anyone else watching this game?

I am, not happy that LJ is not running wild on them.

OMG... the Chiefs just got screwed

What kind of f'n dumb rule was that?

jeff tripplete at work ? ..that was a painful reversal of the blocked punt....

That was the one of the quickest turn of events I've seen in a sporting game recently.

Ick. Rivers is 6/20 and an interception and Green is 11/23 and an interception.

Tonights game is why the Chargers shouldn't be feared like they're the God's of NFL that nobody can take down. The Colts may not be able to do it... but SOMEONE in the AFC playoffs will be able to control LT enough to force Rivers into a replica of tonight.

i think we can slow down LT...hold him under 4 ypc when were all healthy with Harrison and Wilfork back.

not sure our OL would hold up against their D however

Road to the SB will go thru San Diego, which is fine, rather play them than Baltimore..

I think they are beatable because of ole Marty. He is one of the worst post season coaches ever and is constantly thinking of glorious new ways to blow it in the playoffs.

I don't know how anybody think LT could be stopped. He has scored 2+ TDs in the last half season. Rivers could have a crappy game, Marty could stink the joint up, but LT is going to bail them out regardless. This year it looks like even Marty can't screw this playoff up.

Let's not forget that Bill Cowher was once saddled with the reputation for not being a "big game coach" before he went on his improbable and unprecedented run last season.

Shotty has been choking in the playoffs since before the Chin hit puberty.

Marty Schotenhimer - Bill Belichick hmmm

I will take my chances in San Diego with Bill Belichick...

LT played well but if it wasn't for a fake punt and a defender slipping a split second before LT hit the hole on that 85 yard run he doesn't score. As shown tonight, if you take away Gates you take away Rivers. They are a two man show if you take one out and contain the other - you take away their offense. I don't care who you have, if 68% of your offense is produced by two people over the course of an entire season, come playoff time you will lose.

The same could have been said about Marshall Faulk and the 2001 Rams. How'd that turn out?

Big difference. Cowher had been to a SB before last year. Furthermore, the officials gave him and the Steelers the win over Seattle. I personally hope I'm able to watch when the Chargers finally blow up. It will be the most spectacular of Marty's post season debacles.

The death march by the way is for the chiefs, who are all but done in the playoff chase...

Yep, their WR aren't a whole lot better than ours IMO. Do I like Gates and Tomlinson more than Watson, Graham, Dillon and Maroney ? Sure. But when you factor in Brady plus I think our defense is better once Vince and Rodney are back, we'll give them a good run for their money - especially as we have a very strong run defense. And Football Outsiders' stats says we're #3 in the league defending TE.
