Two Fines May Be Coming For Tampa Bay After Hits on Woodhead, Ochocinco
By: Ian Logue

Thursday night's game may end up becoming an expensive endeavor for two Tampa Bay Buccaneers players, and we'll likely find out today if two fines are coming thanks to a couple of tough helmet-to-helmet hits....

On this topic, I really think that fines should be on a sliding scale based on salary. Foster being a third round pick probably got a modest bonus and his salary this year will be close to the veteran minimum. The $10-20k he is going to fined is a huge chunk of his salary. Compare that to a James Harrison who makes millions a year who looks at these fines as pocket change, it just isn't fair.

Be interesting to see if the other pre-season (and regular season games) continue the trend of guys taking shots. Or if this is just more attributable to larger than normal #s of guys unlikely to make teams being out there and trying to do anything to get noticed (not watching the rules so carefully).

If I were paranoid - I might say that Sexy Rexy's comments have reverbated throughout the NFL and if the other teams can't beat the Pats on the scoreboard then they will try to take guys out to even it up.

But I mostly think this is the lack of extended camps and indiscipline in other teams as a result.

I agree...its should be based on salary.....but I think ..the games is starting to go a tad soft... the NFL should also require the best concussion/body equipment... for all players....

Fines will be a weekly thing this season,Goodell's desire for flag football rules are fully in effect.
