OT : Question - Has Tom Brady ever punted with the Pats?

Although I know none of us want to see the franchise out running routes, but it's been a long while since we've seen Brady catch a pass (2001 - Faulk to Brady, 23 yards).

I expect the Patriots will blowout some teams this season which might present some opportunities for Brady to have his first touchdown reception of his career.

We know that in the right situation, Belichick is all for those types of things.

I don't think they'd ever put him in a position, as a receiver where he could get lit up and/or suffer an injury. That may be why it's been a decade since he's caught a pass. We're not talking about a drop kick extra point here. I think you'll see Ninkovich (caught TD passes from Orton and Curtis Painter!! at Purdue) or Solder (HS TE) catching passes before Brady does it again.

Then again, I never thought I'd see Adam V. throw a TD pass either.......

Again O/T but.......

My other favorite Patriots game memory is watching David Patten's trifecta.

Against the Colts, October 21, 2001, he was the sixth player in NFL history to run, catch, and throw for a touchdown. As a result he was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week.

My favorite game was the season finale of the 2002 season with the Patriots in a must win situation against Miami... even if they won they still needed help to get into the playoffs.

Down 11 going into the 4th quarter and in order to win, it was going to have to be anti-Murphy's law... with time running out everything that COULD go right, NEEDED to go right in order to win.

Hulu - Game of the Week: 2002 Dolphins at Patriots - Watch the full episode now.

Even though they won the SB in 2001 - this game in 2002 is what in my opinion solidified the Dynasty, even though they'd not get the help they'd need and would be left out of the playoffs.

These guys learned that if they had a will to win, no one could stop them - and that attitude honed in this game carried over in 2003 and 2004 in a big way.

(That game is worth watching just for some of the classic Faulk moments alone!)

He also caught a first down that was called back for a penalty in 03 or 4. Think it was against Miami too.

False start, wasn't it? When he and the running back moved at the same time pre-snap or something like that....

Also OT: Brady's Statue of Liberty (or technically a reverse Statue of Liberty, I guess) against the Jags in 07 was pretty fantastic. It seemed like forever that he had his back to the defense...

Re: OT : Question

Re: OT : Question

Let not this thread pass out of memory without reference to the "Rucci Poochie"!

As many have already stated, Brady did punt in 2003 pinning the Dolphins inside their own 1 yard line.

It is also worth noting, however, that Adam Vinatieri also punted inside the five yard line in that same game.
