That is the knee jerk fan reaction. Players overwhelmingly view the business side and what their teammates do in the offseason to "get theirs" as completely seperate from the football side. You might find guys annoyed today if they think it will derail the CBA settlement but come Septmeber, it isn't even a blip on anyone's radar.
As for the organization, the Patriots under BB never have, never will run their business by overreacting to the posturing and hype of the business side. They have kept guys who called BB names publicly, guys who called Kraft names publicly, guys who held out, etc. if it made sense for the team. They make football decisions and dumping your best offensive lineman because he was plantiff in the lawsuit and tried to use it to his advantage doesn't make much football sense.
