17. JJ Watt DE Wisconsin In recent days he's pushed ahead of Kerrigan for my choice at this point.

It's hard for me to pass up on Sherrod here, as he might be my favorite OT in the draft, but I think this draft is OT-weak, and I don't think anybody here is especially likely to be better than LeVoir and Maneri right out of the box. I'm also optimistic about a Light signing, so instead Trade The Arizona Cardinals know that there will be a bidding war for a QB at 33, so they decide to beat the rush. The Patriots sign and trade Logan Mankins to the Cardinals, along with #28, Jonathan Wilhite, and Brandon Tate in exchange for #38, #166, Larry Fitzgerald, and Max Hall. The Patriots will also throw in their 2012 2nd round pick if they can sign Fitzgerald to an extension of three years or more.

33. We all know the trade's coming. The Pats trade #33 and #156 to the Titans in exchange for #39, #133, and 1 2012 second round pick.

38. Danny Watkins G/T Baylor Yeah, we need this kid now that we're down Mankins and Neal. Hopefully he can lock down one guard position, or possibly move to tackle if necessary, or be loaned to the Bruins for their playoff push.

39. Brooks Reed OLB Arizona In a perfect world, we'd get a bigger talent to fall to us, however, I don't mind double dipping...

60. Greg Romeus OLB Pittsburgh Still in my perfect world, an OLB depth chart of Cunningham, Reed, and Romeus would be a terrifying 3-headed monster that would resume the McGinest, Vrabel, & Colvin corps. In reality, hopefully Reed or Romeus can give us a bona fide 3-down defender on the edge.

74. Clint Boling G Georgia Double-dipping again. In case Watkins disappoints or is needed to play T, or Connolly is needed at C, Boling gives us another NFL-ready interior lineman to take snaps.

92. Delone Carter RB Syracuse You may notice that I've projected him to New England in all three of these exercises. I think he's the possibly the best all-around RB in the draft and is a steal down here.

115. Trade alert!!! New England trades #123 and #184 to move to #115. They select Kris O'Dowd C USC. It was nice having the solid continuity of Light-Mankins-Koppen-Neal-Kazcur all these years. Wouldn't the next generation of Vollmer-Watkins-O'Dowd-Boling-Maneri/RT to be named later be a fine group for another 3 Super Bowl titles? I mean, they're all going to pan out, right?

133. Greg McElroy QB Alabama Brian Hoyer will be a tradeable commodity sometime soon. Time to develop a new backup QB with intelligence and accuracy.

166. Shiloh Keo S Idaho Not really a need, but he looks to be the BPA by a healthy margin. He'll crack the game day roster week 1 as a ST dervish.

Comp pick. I'm projecting 1 comp pick, probably at the end of the 7th. I'll go with Alex Green RB Hawai'i. Seems to have some potential.

The more I learn about Reed the more I think we will draft him.

His combine numbers are pretty similar to those of Clay Matthews yet he's 23lbs heavier, do you still think he won't go in the top 60? Although Matthews isn't my cup of tea I think plenty of teams would give up a top 60 pick to get a hold of someone like him.

Very strong draft. I've been on the Jarvis Jenkins bandwagon since day 1 and demand you switch Casey with him. Other than that, great job.

Gilchrist had a very solid combine by the way. Very flexible player that has the ability to play cb and safety.

Reed's elite (1.54) 10-yd split will though. He was quicker than AJ Green, Jerrel Jernigan, Von Miller, Robert Quinn and Randall Cobb. His 10-yd split is, dare I say, Clay Matthews like!! The more I read about this kid the more I like him.
