Interesting thing is Matt Light also got a tryout at that spot- a few snaps.

Also, it was interesting to see both Mayo and Lewis paired up on the 2nd level, even though they both play the same position. Great learning experience there for Mayo- to see how Lewis reads and how he communicates.

I tend to think nothing that Belichick does happens by chance.

I agree with this- no detail is too small for BB. This is a man who is always thinking, always scheming.

If Brady was playing, they'd be winning the game. It would be 24-14 right now and the AFC wouldn't have thrown 4 (!!!) interceptions.

Here's BB's post-game press conference:

"My hat's off to the National squad and coach Smith, they were the better team today. We didn't do much right. We needed to play better and coach better. We fell short in all aspects, offense, defense, special teams and coaching. We had what I thought was a good week of practice. Unfortunately we weren't as competitive as I thought we would be."

Light is only able to play RT in the Pro Bowl because he's going 50% while the defenders are going 40%

It was when it was the week after the Super Bowl. Now it's the highest seed to lose in the 2nd round of the playoffs.

I'm not sure how it's decided, but I do know that the two teams that had the best records have their coaches coaching the Pro Bowl, so I'd assume that that's it? Highest-seeded teams that aren't in the SB send their coaches?

We need to spice this thing up a bit. Maybe college All Stars or all the All Americans versus the All Pros. The level of dissinterest in this game is palpable. This is'nt even football at this point.
