The jets have an easier schedule than the pats.

The pats have the tie breaker over the ravens and the titans have a qb controversy.

Giving up already?

Playoffs???

A looooooooooooooooong way to go. We could be the #1 seed. We could win the division. We could miss the play-offs entirely. Way too early to look at anything other than the Pittsburgh game coming up.

Jets and Pats have an identical 2010 schedule except for two games based on the previous year's standings.

The Jets and the Pats have both defeated their AFCW opponents.
Jets play the Texans, Pats play the Colts.

Sorry, but I don't buy the 'easier schedule' angle.

To answer your question:

We still got a game against the Jets at home. We also play Buffalo and Miami the last two games. If we can win one of the next two against the Steelers and Colts, the Patriots can win the division.

I still think the Patriots will win the division, and I still think Miami will finish second in the division.

I'll eat these words if I'm wrong.

I guessed 11-5 for the season ... I'll stick with that. If we get in via wildcard I'll be fine with that also. I don't think the Jets will go 12-4 but 11-5 with tiebreakers realistically could mean wildcard ... one year it meant going home.

I knew I shouldnt have come here after this loss..but I couldnt help it, I love patsfans.com

are you kidding me? The jets were a couple of stupid plays and a glass qb on the lions from losing

The patriots lost because they made mistakes, dropped balls, band turnover at a bad time..all that stuff is correctable.

Give me a break.

No, but have you seen the jets schedule?

I'll turn the tables on you for a second. Have you seen the Jets the last 3 weeks (4 if you include their bye)?

CHALLENGED OFFENSIVELY......

needed the prayer PI to beat denver before the bye.

Shutout at home to the Packers after the bye

had 10 points for 56 minutes against the Lions (7 coming on their longest TD play pass since 1998).....

needed almost a miracle to win today.....OH...and if jason hanson's not hurt.....the Lions don't miss an extra point with SUH kicking!!!!!!

LOTS OF FOOTBALL TO GO MY FRIEND.......you never know what will happen.

Oh, how different this would be if not for a BS interference call to win them one game and a DT missing an extra point to win them another one... :bricks:

I heard the Jets clinced the division today. Seriously?!?

The Jets have not been playing well lately and should have lost today. I give them credit for pulling out the victory, but it they probably should have lost and the Lions mistakes and injuries gave it to them.

The Jets have a tough stretch in November where if they are playing like they have the last month or so could rack up a few losses for them. There is a lot of football left.

ya and the pats were supposed to roll over the browns today. didnt you see the thread here that said todays game was going to be a easy one for the pats? get a grip will ya

Dude, mostly everyone thought this was a trap game because the pats are not a good road team.

The jets can win most of their games just with their defense. The pats on the hand give up points to average offense and now the offense is not yet in sync with each other.

Actually, the Jets defense is showing weaknesses. They can't generate a pass rush with their down linemen, and the league seems to have caught on to Ryan's blitz packages. Today, the Detroit QB had all the time he wanted to find a receiver--very little pressure.
