Do you realize we are looking at a minimum of a 12-4 team?

The Pats are currently 5-1.
This is how the rest of their schedule looks:
Code:
Sunday, Oct. 31 Minnesota Vikings 4:15 p.m. ET WBZ-TV CBS
Sunday, Nov. 7 @ Cleveland Browns 1:00 p.m. ET WBZ-TV CBS
Sunday, Nov. 14 @ Pittsburgh Steelers 8:20 p.m. ET WHDH NBC
Sunday, Nov. 21 Indianapolis Colts 4:15 p.m. ET * WBZ-TV * CBS*
Thursday, Nov. 25 @ Detroit Lions 12:30 p.m. ET WBZ-TV CBS
Monday, Dec. 6 New York Jets 8:30 p.m. ET WCVB ESPN
Sunday, Dec. 12 @ Chicago Bears 1:00 p.m. ET * WBZ-TV * CBS*
Sunday, Dec. 19 Green Bay Packers 8:20 p.m. ET * WHDH * NBC*
Sunday, Dec. 26 @ Buffalo Bills 1:00 p.m. ET * WBZ-TV * CBS*
Sunday, Jan. 2 Miami Dolphins 1:00 p.m. ET * WBZ-TV * CBS*

Even if the Pats go 7-3 the rest of the way that adds up to a 12-4 tam.
Their only remaining tough games are @ Steelers, vs Colts, and vs Jets.
Those are the only games I really see us losing and I'm not willing to concede that the Pats will go 0-3 against those teams.
But even if they did, they would be at 12-4. If we're generous and give them 2 wins out of those 3 matchups, there's a distinct possibility of 14-2. Did you realize how good this team could be this year?

You should take it one game at a time just like the Pats. If you look ahead like that you can leave yourself set up for disappointment. If Belichick read this he would say the minimum record we could have is 5-11.

For every "tough" game a team wins, there tends to be a "wtf" game that we lose. Sure, we might beat the Jets in the rematch, but what if a resurgent Buffalo gets a couple big ST plays and beats us in their house? What about Cleveland who already beat the Saints on the road? Chicago's defense is no joke either.

I think we honestly could go anywhere from 10-6 to 15-1. I'm not ready to say anything is the minimum beyond that.

Which begs the question to the OP VJC Patriot - what was your w/l prediction before the season began?

Lot of talent on Minnesota & Green Bay, not to mention a flukey loss, almost to be expected for a young team.

Counting chickens, etc....

Every team on the schedule could beat us on any given Sunday.

Look at what the Raiders did @ Denver. Anything is possible.

It seems the Pats have luck on their side this year. This makes me bullish.

I certainly agree that 12-4 is a fairly realistic projection. But if the ball stops bouncing our way that can change very quickly.

Yes. But we have one of the toughest schedules in the league.
I can really see us losing games we should win. Games like Chicago or Green Bay...

Miami is tough Green Bay is though and Chicago is tough. Im still saying 13-3 because we can beat any team in the NFL but nothing is a lock.

Detroit even. People seem to forget that Detroit gave as a hell of a scare in 2006. They have a much more talented team now than they did then and, if Stafford is healthy, their passing game could be hard to stop. I don't think Chicago beats us, but Green Bay is another game coming out of the NFC North that should be tough.

Pats schedule is just brutal. I wouldn't be shocked if the team goes on an ugly losing streak.

wtf dude..... you forgot to mention the______________

Yeah, you can't overlook the Lions. A couple of bounces, and a little less hate from the zebras and they could be 4-2. They have a boatload of talent from all those first round picks over the years. Stafford, Best, Johnson, Suh, and the rest of the crew will put up a good fight on national television. These aren't your older brother's Orlovsky-led Lions.

I think the Pack are going to be very dangerous as well. They'll be a lot more healthy by the time they face us and probably in a tough fight with Chicago for the divisional lead.

Suh might very well try to tear Brady's head clean off, like he did Delhomme.

Methinks you're jumping the gun big time, here. Back in 1999 the Pats were 6-2 going into their bye week and all was well. People were forecasting 12-4, 14-2...remember what happened? Pats went 2-6 the rest of the way. Teams figured out that in order to beat the Pats you just needed to bring lots of pressure right up the gut and Bledsoe would not be able to handle it.

Anything's possible, and I wouldn't put it past the fat man in new Jersey to concoct something similar in NEP v. NYJ part deux....something similar being a "blueprint" to beat the Pats....

Considering he'll be "blocked" by Dan Koppen, that's a very real possibility.
