While I certainly believe that the offense, as is, is capable of providing enough of a deep threat to keep defenses honest, WHETHER they will is anyone's guess.

IF the Patriots traded for Vincent Jackson - probably giving up something less than what he was available for as a restricted free agent - it will only be because Belichick believes that he has yet another very talented bad boy on his hands that can help him win some Championships.

Statistically Jackson is a younger, faster, taller, better version of Moss

I'm sure Belichick wouldn't commit draft picks and money if he didn't think it were worth the risk (and I'd think there'd be a "bad boy" clause for deferred guranteed money in any long term contract as well).

So seeing as the only way this is happening is if Belichick believes it to be a good move, I'll be estatic if such a trade goes down - but apparently I'll be the only one.

Mankins for Tamba Hali (assuming he hits free agency and is franchised)

Hali knows the system and the Chiefs will be looking for guys to protect the QB. Could work.

I'm coming around on Lee Evans as a hard nosed player who could help us. But I don't see us getting him with the factors mentioned above. The price will likely be too high. Both in salary and picks.

I would agree a 3-4 DE would be a solid addition. Doubt it happens, though.

There is nothing realistic about that possibility, IMO.

Hali is a rising star at a position that produces few stars. He might be the 2nd best every down OLB in the AFC after James Harrison. He'd be a pro bowler if he were on the Patriots and Jets.

Crabtree isn't as good as the Hype suggests. Also he doesn't strike me as a team player, more of a punk, who will be the next big Diva.
