Chad Johnson

Don't understand why anybody would want him on their team when he fades out in big games. In fact, I can't remember if he's ever made a big catch in his career.

There is also no room on the Pats for Chad's twitter, facebook and reality TV. The Pats are all football. There's no room on a BB team for anything else.

I didn't call TO a team player. I lumped Moss, TO and Edwards together as non-team players.

And Moss didn't become an a-hole overnight. Go back and watch the PC of him after the KC win and other early season games of 2008. He most definitely wasn't a team player then.

an a-hole? Only the media paints him as an a-hole, every teammate past and present paints him as a great teammate. He's got no clue how to handle the media and his personality is a little odd, but an a-hole he is not.

Anyway Moss wanted to retire a Patriot, they didn't want him to or at least couldn't offer him an extension with the 2011 uncertainty looming. And if you want to nitpick PCs why don't you nitpick footage of practices with Moss and BB talking and laughing with each other.

Now Chad Johnson... I'd love to see him on the team and I'd bet the local media would just love him (at first). However I just don't think the stars will ever line up where his value would be high enough for BB to sign/trade for him.

I saw the actual press conference. Not the media reports of it. He was not at all supportive of the team's QB. The rest of the team said positive things to keep him from going postal.

I agree. But there is a reason for that. In order for a team to trade a player the new team has to think the player is worth more than current team does. This can occur one of two ways.

1) Old team is overstocked at the position and the new team is desperate. Not going to happen with BB. He never gets desperate. E.g. Bledsoe to Bills. Casell to KC.

2) Player is becomes a cancer. Old team values player low based on locker room antics. New team values player on potential and assumes they can fix the player. Not going to happen Ocho is too much the professional. E.g. see Moss to NE, Moss to Minn.

We all saw the PC, including Wilfork who said that Moss is "probably one of the greatest guys you'll ever meet". We can all agree, including his teammates, that he shouldn't have done it and it was ill-timed. I don't consider my friends a-hole's when they make mistakes nor will I consider Moss an a-hole for making a mistake, especially when all his teammates continuously say he's a great guy.

Do you believe that every trade the Patriots have made has fit into 1 or 2? And Moss was not a cancer so can we please move on.

When I saw this thread at first I was thinking "who the hell is Chad Johnson...Oh, Ochocinco" lol. I forgot about the name change.

His skills may have diminished a bit but I think he and Brady would work very well together.

I wouldn't mind renting him for 2 seasons while the younger wideouts develop.
