When a team wins the SB sometimes they give rings to players that played only part of the year, sometimes not.

If the Pats win the SB this year, has Randy done enough to justify getting a ring?

I know this is a paradox but IMHO, giving a player like that a ring is both the gracious thing to do and a slap in the face at the same time. You think Nomar has his 2004 Red Sox Championship ring sitting high and pristine on his mantle at home? No way. I bet it hurts just to look at it.

Yeah he was on the team for part of the season.
Terry Glenn didn't get one in 2001. The situations are somewhat similar but Moss is much less publicly acrimonious so I think he would get one. I suspect if we win the SB we will be happy that we won't care.

What Wolfpack said.

i think we should answer the more fundamental question first: can NE win a game without Randy?

No....no offense....but this is a dumb question.....

I think he deserves one...he's not on the team though so, no

Moss only played 4 games. That's a tough one. I would say no because he wasn't on the team long enough this year nor would he have played any part of the playoff run. I'm not against it, I just don't think playing the first 4 games of a season means you'd deserve a ring for what the team accomplished in the postseason. Of course we're getting a bit ahead of ourselves here. We don't even know if the Pats will even be in the playoffs yet. They need to at least split with the Jets and win the division title before this thread even has any... relevance to what's going on right now.

I bet the same could be said for Drew Bledsoe's 2001 SB ring. And he was on the team the entire season and played significant role in the AFCCG.

Had less than 200 yards in 4 games and was nothing more than a decoy this year.

Its not even a close answer...its an emphatic no

What he did in the past few years is totally irrelevant to 2010

....

The guy asked to be traded. As Wes Welker said, there is a sign in their locker room saying "If you don't want to be here, you don't have to be here". Moss made his choice. It wasn't like the Pats blindsided him with a trade.

i'd say he gets one. As training camp is a big part of the season and from all reports, Moss has been doing a good job taking in some of the younger WRs and showing them the ropes.

Yes..........

Too right. Give him a ring on the phone, and say, "Hey Randy, we won the Super Bowl! And we couldn't have done it withou... oh wait, we did." Something along those lines.

I say no. He didn't care about winning here this year with this team. He wanted a new contract instead. That's ok with me, but if he really wants a ring he'll have to get one in Minny.

Absolutely not. Randy Moss is a Minnesota Viking now.

What championship have they won with Randy, none. Time for you to move on and join the Vikings fan site.....Maybe Brett will send you some pics
