Neither do the Dolphins.

All this negative press has me thinking the Pats are poised for a victory. I'm not much of a contrarian usually, but the timing seems right for a dominant win.

Don't see how anyone who's watched both teams play could possibly pick the Pats over Miami. If their defense continue to play at a Pop Warner level I cannot see the Patriots being "the pick" until they play at Cleveland. After that, the pundits won't be picking them again until they play at Buffalo.
The Patriots have not been this piss poor on defense since Krafty has owned the team. I don't need stats to look it up - my eyes tell me that the 2010 New England Patriots have one of the worst defenses ever to land in Foxboro - ever.

Maybe it's just me, but GB does not look like a Super Bowl caliber team.

To be fair, losing Ryan Grant in the first series of the year can do that to a team. They don't have anyone good behind him. But that passing offense is pretty scary. Jermichael Finley is inhuman, Driver's become their top threat, Jennings is the opposite of last year (good in the red zone, invisible everywhere else), and Jordy Nelson is pretty great to have around as a fourth option.

There's no one here that wants the Pats to win more than me (unless you're betting the house).. But the truth is, the Pats have not been good on the road and beat a quality team in sometime.

Curran is not going out on the ledge on this one.. So he picked the Dolphins to go to the SB.. Bottom line, they have played better as a team than we ahve.

I have yet to see a single team play like they are SB bound. The closest team would be Pittsburgh and even they found a way to lose at home by giving up a late 4th quarter lead. But that defense looks good and they are getting Ben back. But other than them every team has been inconsistant.

Last I checked they have the same record that we do and we lost to the same team. Their defense (which has been touted on this forum) gave up 31 to them at home. They beat the Trent Edwards led Bills, but only put up 15 points. They beat an offensively challenged Vikings team and then allowed 31 to the Jets.

I understand our record down there and I understand our defensive woes. But if anyone is thinking that Dolphins will win simply because of our defense than you might be surprised. Brady could easily drop 40+ on the Dolphins defense. Their secondary is worse than ours, and considering that Edwards and keller had a field day down there last week. How do you suppose they stop Moss, Welker, Edelman, Hernandez, Gronk, Crumpler and Tate?

NE is the better team, and unless Brady has a case of the brain farts (especially the Miami kind) - this should be a win.

Eh. Their offensive line blows and their defense is pretty pedestrian (though, they do have a few studs). I agree that their offense outside the line is disgusting, sort of wondering what's up with Jennings, though.

Not expecting the Patriots to go into Miami (where they've struggled) and win is understandable. Hell, any road game (especially division games) are tough because the opponent knows you as well as you know yourself, and the crowd has extra incentive to be loud against a hated rival.

But anyone who says they can't see how the Patriots can possibly win this game is letting their emotions get the best of them. This is the number 1 scoring offense in the league, and has plenty of past years to indicate that's not a fluke. If anyone can overcome a below average defense in any given game, it's this team.
