Bruins vs Flyers Playoff Thread

This team has had a total attitude adjustment and are on a mission in the playoffs.....During the regular season teams would just skate into the bruins zone set up their offense and score......In the playoffs teams are having trouble against our forecheck and or trying to get into our zone without getting their bell rung.....

Most teams have just had to dump the puck into our zone and go get it.....I will take that kind of hockey all day long......Our defense was extremely solid holding onto the lead and we blocked a ton of shots......

Could someone tell me the ruling on the rosters? with krecji hurt and McQuaid hurt are we able to pull some guys from our minor leagues to play or do we have a set playoff roster that we have to pull from?

My thinking is with a 3-0 lead I want to sweep them but I would also like to rest these 2 guys that are hurt and play some other guys that might have fresher legs......Another bit of good news is they said last night that stuart is coming along and might play in the next series.....I don't know a ton about Stuart but we need bodies on defense so.....

Looks like Savard will be centering a line with Satan and Lucic.

The 4th line will be Trent Whitfield with Begin and Marchand.

I think Marchand can help in this game as he is small and fast. If Claude can get that line in for the right situation he might get a goal out of it or at least some decent penalty killing which Whitfield and Begin are good at.

We'll see ... no announcement yet.

We'll have to see if the Bruins are even up for this game ... we'll know in the 1st 5 minutes.

Flyers have had the better period offensively ...

but only 1 quality attempt which was blocked by Chara the goalie.

Tough night ... Claude had the defense pressing and it cost us in our own end. I don't blame him for that strategy ... on the road ... close it out with Krejci out. Monday we'll finish them off.

Anyways WTF happened....I mean 4-0 at home really???? with a backup goalie no less.....

The Bruins style is totally dependant on the offense starting from the back.

They are not a dump it in team, they are not going to dazzle you with skating. They need to play tough physical defense and gamble at times in sending 4 skaters down low - especially with Krejci out.

I am hoping that the play last night was more the result of them trying to adapt to no Sturm and Krejci. I still think adding Marchand to the lineup would help. His skating ability replaces that element that they lost from Sturm.

I would put him on a line with Sabotka and Satan.

I would have:

Wheeler, Bergeron, Recchi.

Paille, Savard, Ryder

Marchand, Sabotka, Satan

Lucic, Begin, Thornton

Whitfield sucks ... what a waste of a roster spot.
