Damian Williams or Eric Decker if you had a choice

Do you go with Damian Williams or Eric Decker?

I like Decker of the two although Williams is better known and more mentioned in here.

If 100% healthy, I take Decker. He runs a better route tree and excelled without the benefit of his QB getting ten seconds to throw like the USC did.

The best route runners in college football last year were Baldwin of Pitt and Green of Georgia. Williams is the best route runner avilable in this draft.

Agree, Decker,
Williams is perceived as a slot receiver. Is thin and slight of build. Not a physical WR. Decker will at least get in your way.
If it was a tie the fact that Williams is a USC WR gives it to Decker. How many slot WRs do we want when Welker comes back? Decker without question.

I've come to fear the words "foot injury" regardless of player position or type of injury, that seems to be the biggest problem area for player recovery.

If it isn't Tate in a trade up I'd rather just wait until our last 2nd rounder and grab Gilyard. He's very polished and adjusts to the ball real well, probably better than any of the WR's in this draft. He may be the safest pick imo as far as being a football player.

I like Bryant and Tate better because they are more explosive and have a better chance of being great. But they are both a gamble and I think Gilyard again is a safe pick.

Don't want Benn or Decker in the 2nd. Williams, Tate and Gilyard would all be fine.

I think both have a significant chance to develop into a decent #1 WR. Not, certainly, at Moss' level, but a decent #1 for with TFB throwing to them. Neither is likely to contribute a huge amount this season (for different reasons), at least not till later. HOWEVER, with the signing of Holt, still a legit #3 guy (finally!), the Pats may now have the luxury of taking someone with high-upside potential who may not contribute immediately. AND, there will be other decnet #3/possession guys - with limited upside but maybe a better chance to contribute immediately - available in later rounds (Roberts, Price, White, Jeremy Williams, etc.). And, again, there may be even better "project" prospects available in 2011 with one of our TWO 1st-rounders.

IOW, I'd probably be okay with either, as far as WR goes. OTOH, with positions at DE, OLB, RB and (possibly) O-line yet to be filled, it may be better to skip "project" WRs altogether, use our remaining higher picks on those other needs, and pick up one (or two) of those possession guys later.

Baldwin is the antithesis of a good route-runner. I saw almost every Pitt game. He ran a fly pattern down the sidelines and they threw jump balls to him. Could turn out to be a good pro. But, he's far from polished. I like the kid from Georgia. They run a more complex passing game than Pitt.

Disclaimer: I'm a PSU alum and hate Pitt. Maybe, I'm biased. But, Baldwin=athlete, not wr yet.
