just listening to Dale and Holley, just before the Francoma interview, and they said Shefter twitted that Ben the Perv is available for a top ten pick.. someone before predicted Buffalo, if true hope he freezes his cajones off.. that would cure a few things..

I hope they send him to the Raiders. It would be a perfect fit.

Just heard on the big show that St. Louis and Buffalo turn down the Steelers on the trade... I do hope the Jaguars land him though, that should give the Colts some competition in the division...

let's not get carried away here...big ben with a chip on his shoulder with the Bills is NOT in our self-interest...

The Bills need a lot more than a QB to become a threat. And I have always believed Little Ben is overrated anyway. He started his career on a good team with an amazing defense. And he has great weapons on offense. Put him on a lesser team and I bet he won't accomplish much.

I hope the Raiders don't trade for him. Even if it's for 10 games he might win half of them and turn our top 5 pick into a middle of the first pick. The Raiders with an average QB could have won another 4 or 5 games that Russell and company just threw away. And Ben is clearly above average as a football player even if he is a POS as a human being.

first of, he's 28. and if you think this is no big deal then you have not been following the details of the case. Dragging and extremely intoxicated college student into a bathroom while his personal security stands guard. Exposing himself. Cuts, bruises, vaginal bleeding. Not to mention the facts that he has been accused of this on three seperate occasions.

As a man who has a freshman daughter in college, I can promise you if Ben Rapelisberger or ANYONE dragged my daughter into a bathroom and raped her, there would be need for a grand jury to convene...that boy would turn up in a high grass field with a throat smile by razor. Sideburn to sideburn. Or in Ben's case, sideburn to mole!

I am a tolerant man, but this is one thing I do not tolerate for in any way shape or form.

And, if this rumor is true, then I am proud of the Steelers for shipping this punk out of town on a rail and putting ethics over winning.

familiarize yourself with the facts. put it this way, the Steelers' fanbase is probably about as far from an "effete, liberal, feminist" crowd as you will find in the NFL and they are ready to run him out of town...

Actually, Pittsburgh is traditionally a Democratic town. I don't know about feminist...but they heavily supported Obama's campaign.
In general, the city has a "lunch pail" mentality - and Ben's judgement has disturbed a lot of people there.

They don't have a top ten pick so, as of right now, it's out of the question. However, I have a feeling that Pittsburgh is going to have to settle for something outside of the top ten in order to get Roethlisberger out of their hair.

The top ten pick theory is based on the fact they really like Sam Bradford.

The other dynamic is the Steelers are really old, especially on defense. My guess is if Minnesota offered their first and second; it would suffice.

This is a very deep draft so a 60 ish this year is like a high second most years. they simply need more players.

If you can get a 2x SB champ in the prime of his career for a first rounder, it's a no-brainer. From the Steelers' perspective, I would think this only makes sense if its for #1 overall, and, even then, I'm not so sure it makes sense.
