Good win ... nice to start a season grinding one out.

Only downer was watching Ortiz trying to catch up to fastballs.
We would be way better off with Mike Lowell as our DH.
Ortiz has had a great career but it appears his age has reduced his production this time.

Agreed...I still think ortiz will have a solid season but he can't hit good lefties anymore and sabathia is one of the best...should of had lowell or even bill hall in the lineup....Anyways scoring 9 runs with this terrible offense against the powerful yanks....I know it's only 1 game but don't say I didn't tell you so...

Papi and Ells both stunk up the joint last night. Beltre, Cameron, and SCutaro looked great. We should have traded ells, papi, and buch to SD for AGon.

nobody want Papi now...he is only a DH and right now, he cant hit. They will put something together for AGon, but Papi will be on the pine soon if he does not look better than he did last night. Lowell will be the DH soon
