Not a bad way to train. Mankins (like most offensive linemen) need to focus on building functional strength and quickness. That said, he might want to add in some traditional strength training, also.

More seriously, Mankins has never missed a down. One would hope that we would extend him. Otherwise, it's a business, and I would expect to see him next in Foxboro the Wednesday before Game One, at the earliest. And for Mankins, I would even expect that his agent will recommend skipping a paycheck or two if necessary.

In the end, I think that Mankins will play all this year with an extension, or at worst with a new one-year contract at more than the tender amount.
