:ditto:
Not to mention this whole "he's going to ruin the locker room" thing is so overstated. Are a team full of independently thinking men really going to let one person with a whiny malcontent attitude come in and dictate how they think, feel or perform? Do any of you allow that to happen at your job? I just don't really get the concept, but to be fair, I'll give it some level of credence. Even so, an impact player like this is going to do far more good than harm.
His "bad attitude" (and yes, I did see him punt the ball during pre-season etc.) has netted him 3 consecutive 100+ catch, 1,100+ yard seasons, one of which was with Kyle Orton. Can all of you not in favor of his acquisition honestly say with a straight face that he would not make this team better? The man is a beast, he is 25, he puts up big numbers with qb's that can't hold Brady's jock, imagine what he can do with Tom?
I know I'll be in the vast minority here, but I would give the 1st for him. Yes, I said it! We have 3 2nd rounders in a deep draft, if it came right down to it I'm giving the 1st for him. I'm pretty confident there isn't a player at 22 we could draft that would make our team better than Marshall would. The 1st rounder for him is a little extreme I know but I think the people saying they wouldn't give a 2nd are nuts. Marshall/Moss (albeit older)/Welker (during the portion of the season we'll have him) /Edleman is filthy. 2007 all over again.
His bad attitude (which I also believe to be media-fed) doesn't mean he shuts it down, he still produces great numbers, and with worse people throwing him the ball than TFB. I say we make a play for him. Unless that is you'd prefer to have a Sam Aiken or play-alike instead. Or spend a 2nd rounder on an unproven commodity. Great alternatives.
