I really like this kid who Mayock says could be the best defensive pass rusher in the draft and to whom Mayock says is potentially better than pro bowl rookie Brian Orakpo.

I think Kindle is the closest to a sure fire impact player as a rookie as there is in this draft.

Is Sergio worth the Pats moving up in round one or could Kindle drop to #22?

I worry that Miami who is in dire need of a pass rusher grab him just before we do

Thoughts?

I think Kindle can be had in the 2nd round to be honest. Miami is taking McClain if he is there.

I completely disagree. I don't think Kindle has much of a football IQ and it's going to hurt him on the field. And it will particularly hurt him in BB's defense. I also have to disagree that he's the best pass rusher, even based purely on physical characteristics. So I'll pass on Kindle.

I'd say we have an outside shot of getting him at #42.

prefer hughes over Kindle

I think he is top 2 pass rushers in the draft so yeah i would take him i mean there have been many mocks that have san fran taking him at 17

I think he will be on the board after day 1.

no thanks on Kindle, wasn't too enamored with his on field play. didn't see Hughes play but I like what I've heard of him so far.

Ideally I would like to pick up Kindle and Hughes. I'm not for sure if this is reasonable but I like both of these players. I don't think we'll have to move up to get Kindle.

I'd prefer Dunlap or Pierre-Paul over him.

I don't think that Kindle is really the best fit for the Pats. That being said, I also don't believe that anyone will have to move up to get him. Kindle had the benefit of playing next to Lamarr Houston while at Texas..

I keep going back to the national title game where Alabama ran for about a million yards by running right at Kindle. Not sure BB would stand for that in our defense.

They weren't running at Kindle, I have the game on itunes, most of the runs were inside the tackles and when they did run outside it was away from Kindle for the most part. He had a good game against Bama.

I would as well because of their pure pass rushing abilty but Kindle would be better in coverage.

He could be worth it. 3 down player for sure.

Does Dunlap off the field scare you any? I just worry about his maturity considering he'd do something stupid the week of the SEC Championship game.

if the pats get Kindle, at #22 arthur jones, Jonathan Dwyer, and Arrelious Benn, in the 2th round that would give the pats 4 impact player that could all have big rookie seasons.

A little but not enough to totally drop him below Kindle, thats not a knock on Kindle its just a testament to Dunlaps potential. The motor issues are what would be Dunlaps downfall, hes not a bad kid hes a little immature but alot of these guys are.

Not a fan of Benn, IMO he has alot of bust potential, I like Dwyer but where will Jones play? Dont think he would be a good 3-4 DE and honestly I dont see any 3-4 DE in this draft that would come in and have an impact this season.

I agree. Thats why I'm hoping we might get Cameron Heyward in 2011.
