Moss: "I don't think they going to extend my contract here"

If the offense becomes varied with a number of receivers so Brady gets rid of the ball like he used to, he'll heal and work himself back into shape like nothing happened. No reason he can't play til 40 under those conditions.

If we keep focusing on slow developing routes, Moss or not, and a couple receivers, and no running game in the second half, not enough use of the TEs...

We're looking at Bledsoe 2 unfortunately, and Bledsoe was stronger. It'll be two miserable years then. Of course Brady had better pocket presence and mobility, but the Lincoln monument has more mobility than Bledsoe. What made Brady untouchable was quick reads and getting rid of the ball. People forget, Bledsoe was a pretty fair QB back when Parcells used to count down and yell at him to get rid of it in practice.

Moss said nothing about money that the media hasn't said, the fan base hasn't said, this message board hasn't said and ex-players haven't said. Hell, one of the defenses to the Seymour trade that people here were saying in defense of the move was that the team wasn't going to pay both Seymour and Wilfork the big coin.

Maybe those other peole defended Moss because he didn't deserve the criticism? You act like Moss asked them to make those comments. They made the comments because Moss was being unfairly criticized by the media.
I act like Moss asked them to make those comments? Where the hell did that come from? Those people did defend Randy because he deserved to be defended. The criticism he took was not deserved. He has an obligation to reciprocate the support he received from his team, his coach and teammates at a time when a majority of the football world was all over his case (undeservedly). There has been no more ardent supporter of Randy Moss on this board than me. Do your homework.

Maybe a mailman said it, too. Who cares? That doesn't make it right for a player to say, especially one of the team's highest-paid player.

You and I see this differently. But I think we can both agree that Peyton Manning threw a pick-6 in the Super Bowl and cost his team the game.

That may be true, but I prefer to say that Peyton Manning threw a pick-6 in the Super Bowl and cost his team the game.

Either Moss is paranoid or there's writing on the wall. Perhaps, he's getting a vibe that isn't good.

Either way, I'd been an advocate of the Patriots drafting his replacement this year. I still feel that way.

I say, trade him before the season. Otherwise, he'll be a lame duck this season.

I don't necessarily think he is being anything more than a realist.

If they trade him without replacing him with a monster WR, then we're looking at a 2006-like team except with a worse running game and far worse defense. That's a 7-9 team.

Since Moss isn't the POTUS and he's not a head coach, why should anyone care that he's a "lame duck"?

Patjew:

The problem with trying to read into Moss' statements is that, as noted, he is not the most articulate man in the world.

As a case in point, the oft-quoted "I play when I want to play." Based on the rest of that quote, it's fairly clear that what he meant was "I play because I want to play." Nevertheless, the poor choice of conjunction means that this c*** has followed him for years.

It's too bad he didn't take a public speaking course at Rand University.

Re: Moss:"I don't think they going to extend my contract here"

rawr Randy Moss is the devil because he speaks his mind

I couldn't care less. Hopefully his comments will spur the team into action to open their wallets for good players. Not has beens and locker room cancers

How can someone who became the highest paid at his position if not, at least in the top 5, say **** like this? I could care less what the mediots have said before. As someone inside the organization, who was rewarded with a large contract to say this is a spit in Bill's face. Not going to be pretty, IMO.

If I'm your employer, and you've done a good job for me, I raise your pay handsomely for it, I move you up in position, etc. I could give two ****s if this is someone speaking their mind, it's called biting the hand that feeds you. I've never seen the Patriots not pay players they need to keep.

How many vets that Bill let loose besides Asante have come back to bite us? (And besides, it's not losing Samuel that sucked, it's Bill ignoring the front 7 tht has killed us) Bill pays his players based on need and a what have you done for me lately philosophy, Randy being one of them. I just can't believe he'd say this about his own team, the very team that's so cheap they've paid him handsomely since his huge season.

I felt they shouldn't have let Andruzzi go. He was the heart and soul of the OL. I know he had knee problems, but they didn't seem to be an issue during his final season here.

We are already trying to fill up the hole in the defense, if moss is gone, now we need to worry about 2 replacements for WRs.
