The guy has been a good soldier for the Pats and has done whatever the coaching staff has asked. He hasn't complained or cried or given up on the team and he leads the league in receiving. He was late for a meeting, big ****.
Even though Randy leads the league in yards, I still don't think we are getting the most out of him due to the playcalling. McDaniels had Moss going over the middle of the field, running crossing routes and slants in 07. This year, I feel like we are just using Moss as a deep guy. I want to see Moss used more on shorter and intermediate routes, rather than just exclusively as the deep guy.
People are blowing this out of proportion, calling him a dog and saying we haven't won anything with him. If not for the luckiest catch in the history of sports or Asante brick handing that easy INT or AD taking Manning down, we would've won a SB and been 19-0 with Randy Moss being one of the major keys to our success that season.
Blaming Moss for our shortcomings this year is ridiculous. He showed up and played like a man in that big showdown with Indy. On Sunday in the end zone, that was a terrible throw by Brady and I don't think Moss could have done anything else to break that up. Moss has tried on numerous occasions to break up passes this season, he even did so earlier in the Miami game but no one is talking about that. You also have to realize without Moss, Welker wouldn't be as dangerous of a weapon as he is right now. I cannot believe the amount of people that I have heard jump down Moss' throat. Since he's been here, he's pretty much done everything he's been asked to do and hasn't really been lazy at all IMO.
