That's exactly what the world needs: more bowling alley/blues bars.

i've herd the rock and bowl was a great place, a lot of top notch acts...Its sounds better than the dry cleaner/gun store combo in the town i use to live in.

Represent us well, folks. Show dem Nu Owlins folks what mAs$holes are all about.

I haven't been to the new rock n bowl yet, although I pass it all the time. The old one was great for music and drinking, not so much for the actual bowling unless you like chipped balls and warped lanes, but that's just New Orleans for ya, it adds to the charm.

I hear you on the old Rock 'n Bowl. Great atmosphere, great music (Kermit Ruffins? Sign me up!), horrible lanes. Your ball actually hitting the pins was entirely coincidental. I also have yet to go to the new one.

leaving in the a.m. if anyone wants to join - - lunch @ parkway bakery and tavern 538 hagan/corner of toulouse st. (504.482.3047) poboys, burgers, gator, hot dogs, etc around noonish.

see everyone at the heal garage!

GO PATS!!! saints to 10-1 tomorrow

i would recommend that anyone down there check out Frenchmen street which is adjacent to Bourbon but a lot better. Start at d.b.a. and move to The spotted Cat or wherever.

If you can't draw yourself away from downtown, meet up with your luxury suite friends at the W, which is also pretty close to the casino. I would also recommend you check out of the hotel before the game and then plan on just going straight to the airport from the bars on Tuesday morning. R-bar downtown and ms Maes (uptown) are good places to go starting about 2 AM - not before.

If the Saints do win, and you want to see the players, they usually go to "The Republic". A few of them live in luxury apartments across the street. They are always there - but probably only if they win.

If you leave the superdome and are a bit disoriented, look at a map before wandering too far. I lived "on the wrong side" of the stadium's shadow and it was a bit shady (no pun intended).
