Re: Nunn a buc

For Nunn, that is the equivalent of having your mansion foreclosed and your ferrari taken away.

Re: Nunn a buc

We're doomed?

Re: Nunn a buc

Cash homie, and playing time. Hard to fault him - good luck kid.

Re: Nunn a buc

Ya it's a no brainer for him. Just wish he had a chance to come back for a second training camp.

Re: Nunn a buc

Not sure why that sucks. Nunn got bypassed by Isaiah Stanbeck on the depth chart. Nunn played decently enough, but Edelman, Stanbeck and Aiken were ahead of him on the depth chart... The only chance that Nunn had to play for the Pats would have been if Edelman got IRed. That was clear after the Pats cut Galloway and added Stanbeck.

I see it as good fortune for Nunn. He played well enough that someone noticed him and he went to a team that clearly needs him on their 53 man roster.

Re: Nunn a buc

Best of luck to him, and he will need it, they really do destroy receivers down in Tampa.

Re: Nunn a buc

Actually I'm surprised Nunn lasted this long. Tampa Bay may have the weakest group of receivers in the league, especially with Antonio Bryant sitting on the sideline most of this season. Michael Clayton, Maurice Stovall and Sammie Stroughter don't exactly keep opposing defensive coordinators up all night trying to devise a game plan to stop them.

Nice to see Nunn get a shot. He deserves it. I'm glad Stanbeck is safely on the 53 man roster for now. With Moss, Welker, Tate, Edelman, Stanbeck and Aiken it would be hard for Nunn to crack the roster next year.

Re: Nunn a buc

Good luck to him.

Re: Nunn a buc

Best of luck, Nunn! :bye2:

Re: Nunn a buc

Actually dressing and playing in an NFL game HAS to be better than practicing with the team and sitting on gameday, no matter how good a team is. Good Luck, kid. Live the dream!

Re: Nunn a buc

I liked him. He's a good football player. I hope he makes a splash down there and gets a job.

Re: Nunn a buc

I wish him the absolute best!!!! I wa shoping one way or another he would get to the 53...but..when Stanback went ahead of him..I had a suspicion he would not make it...Good luck!!!

Um, no. Practice squad players can choose whether they want to sign with a team or not. Nunn chose to sign with the Bucs when they approached him.

On the contrary, Kyle Arrington was approach by a team (Packers? I forget, Reiss had it) and decided NOT to sign with them, and instead persuaded the Pats to sign him to their 53-man roster.

It's not a waiver claim. Players can stay on practice squads all they want, even if other teams want to sign them.

Re: Nunn to Bucs

Glad to see the kid get a shot. Thought it would happen here but there are too many talented young guys (remember Tate) competing for WR slots next season.

You're getting old when you forget it was Mangina.

Re: Nunn a buc

I liked him, hope he does well with the Bucs. Doesn't really affect the Pats though- Stanback has been just fine for us.

PS players get $5,200 per week. At the current minimum salary, a game check is over $18,000. I think TB has to keep him on the roster for a minimum of three weeks. NFL careers are short (and yours may be shorter than average). Good luck Terrence, and put every penny that you can into the bank. And since Florida has no state income tax, there's another $1,000 or so in the bank every week.
