Attention; Please try to help this Patriots fan out

This was posted in the new member area and was brought up in the mod forum by Micheal. Because it is time sensitive, I thought I'd post it here in the main forum.


Patz fan in Iraq needs your help. I am in Iraq and with the help of the leadership I have been tasked with setting up a football day for the troops. I am looking for any kind of Patriots stuff I can use to decorate for the party. We are very limited on computer access so ordering stuff is nearly impossible.

We are relying on the NE fans to help us decorate.
Any of you NEP fans that want to help out the troops in Iraq, please drop any kind of Patz stuff you might have laying around that you would like to donate in the mail.

We will also use it at Superbowl also. (I hope)

The party is for the NO game.

Man I would..... but my connections are w/ in the Red Sox Organization....


I do not know any PATRIOT people who are valuable for connections....


I wish it were the other way around..... but it isn't

I have an extra Moss away jersey (accidentally ordered two when I placed the order online). I can send that this week. Anything I can do to help out the troops.

I've got a Hannah jersey my buddy who played for GDA had signed for me. They deserve it more than I do. I'm gonna be away from my place until midweek starting tomorrow, but I'll try to get my girl to send it out.

Do you think they would like some slightly used, but good condition, Pats clothes? I could send that. Also, some kids-sized Pats jerseys that could be hung like a poster. I'll get some stuff sent via my Hong Kong office this week for sure.

Maybe Stacey James could be contacted to send some stuff as well?

I've got a windsock and some wall decorations and pennants.

My son is already in Afghanistan, so anything I can do to help out any of the folks overseas is fine by me.

Consider the stuff on it's way downrange.

GREAT idea! I'm sure the Pats organization would be happy to donate as am I.

For a Pats SB I hang silver tinsel from my ceiling and weave (or just hang, depending on how creative you want to get) red and blue shiny curling ribbon in different lengths, but regular paper streamers can work just as well.

If you don't want to hang them (or can't) then you can do something really cool like that on your table. I'll try and pick some of that stuff up too and send it directly.

i don't know if there is a mailing cost. When I was in Vietnam anything sent from and to was marked "free". That was a long time ago so things may have changed.

I've got some Pats shirts that have been outgrown that will fit some of our troops. Will get in mail along with some posters, ASAP.

I sent a package today. The woman at the post office said they couldn't guarantee an arrival time. But, it's on it's way. At the very least they'll have it all for the SB party.
