More WR Talent

If you put all them receivers together on one depth chart Moss and Welker would be playing every snap. I'd say Edelman would be at no.4/5 on what he has done this year. Tate is the dark horse here, I'd give you a certain answer in a couple of weeks hopefully.

But the no.1 and 2 are Moss and Welker no doubt so I'd say right now that there is no comparison.

Well, as of right now Desean Jackson is a bigger threat to take mid yardage throws to the house than anyone on our team. He's blazing fast.

I have to agree, this guy routinely makes plays. He has something like 5 TD plays of over 50 yards, this year alone.

My feeling is Philly has a slight edge in talent over the Pats WRs Corp, as of today. If Tate shows us something in the coming weeks, he can tip the balance in our favor.

I think the 2009 version of D. Jackson is 95% of the game changer on the field that the 2009 version of Moss is, and if Edelman can give us 75% of Welker, than a healthy Kevin Curtis can come close to 100%. The the 3 spot, would be Aiken vs. Maclin, and I like Maclin. Not to mention Brady is an upgrade over McNabb throwing, which should translate into better performances than we are seeing from them now.

I am assuming that all their recievers can get on the same page as Tom/System, which, as we have seen, can be very difficult.

I am hoping Tate lives up to the billing as a first round talent. This would change lots.

Philly may be deeper, especially considering our injuries and the complete failure of Galloway, however, our top two guys, Moss in particular, make up for the lack of depth.

Moss commands double teams and makes things easier for everyone else. Defensive coordinators must scheme specifically around him. How quickly we forget how special he is.

As soon as the Pats get healthier (Moss, Welker, Tate, Edelman, Aiken and Ben Watson) I think you'll see that wide open 5 wide passing attack start to really click.

Would you swap WR corps with the Philly's at the beginning of training camp? Are the Pats a better more dangerous team assuming everyone stays healthy?

Don't sleep on Jackson, right now, he might be better than moss.

Maclin is solid for a rookie, but Welker has the resume and production behind him.

The rest are blah

Moss and Welker are better than the Eagles' top 2. However depth wise the Eagles have more talent at WR. Tate is still an unknown. Aiken is serviceable but his main impact is on ST.

• 10 DeSean Jackson PR
• 18 Jeremy Maclin

are best for their ages. Both are young deep threats.

Overall I take the PATS Package

1.More Intelligent and Better QB
2 Pats have better options for underneath roots
3. Randy Moss is still a deep threat.
4. Tate has the potential to be a solid deep threat.

Combining both slot and wide receivers PATS are better overall

add the QB to the equation.... it is a no brainier PATS FTW

love PHILLY's youth thou

QB is the x factor and it determines the outcome of y. McNabb is no Brady. He lacks the pedigree of a dominant QB

Lets not forget Kevin Curtis. He is a quick WR with lateral and deep speed. Coming out of St. Louis, a lot of us thought he would look good in a Pats uni..if healthy, he could be very dangerous in the slot, flanked by Jackson and Maclin. After the 77 catch 1100yd season, injuries have plagued him.

I think the assumption you need to make when comparing both squads is everyone is healthy (Curtis and Edelman), that the QB is Tommy B, and that you would equalize the mental part (i.e., they know the offensive play book, etc)...

Galloway busting really hurt. I am hoping Tate can be what Stallworth was in 2007.

I still don't get the reasoning. Stallworth put up 700 yards in his season with us, and he is an established WR. Tate is coming off a significant knee injury and hasn't practiced with his QB for more than three weeks. He's never put up 700 yards in a full season in college (let alone the NFL). And you think he can play the same role as Stallworth?

Perhaps I should have been clearer...by playing the same role as Stallworth, I didn't mean putting up his numbers...I meant becoming the legitimate deep threat opposite Moss that we thought we had in Galloway. And yes, I think he can play this role. He was considered first round talent before his injury.
