Re: ryan and dungy go back and forth

Awww, man! Don't go dissing Uncle Buck like that!

Actually Ryan is more like John Candy as Divine.

Re: ryan and dungy go back and forth

I'm wondering if Ryan has had some serious issues with bullying.

Every second word seems to be about not backing down or not fearing anyone.

FWIW...I remember when I was a kid being kind of freaked out by a profile of Buddy Ryan in Sports Illustrated. As I recall it (somewhat fuzzily, I admit), Buddy was reminiscing about a childhood ritual where his father would take his young sons out to the backyard and fight them one by one until, bruised and bloody, they said "uncle." And the saddest day of Buddy's life was when he was finally big enough that he ended up beating his dad to a pulp instead. Mind you, these were happy reminiscences of the father who taught him to be tough.

Anyway, that's the dad Rex grew up with.

Re: ryan and dungy go back and forth

As if I didn't have enough reasons to dislike Wrecks Cryan...now he's gone and made me agree with St. Dungy!

What she said.

There's no question that Rex Ryan is afraid of a whole lot. That's why he feels a pathological need to constantly proclaim that he's not afraid of anything. On a related note, can anyone here imagine growing up as Buddy Ryan's kid? *shivers*

Edited to add that I posted this before I read the above post. Now I'm even more shivery.

HAHA!! Wrecks isn't nearly as classy, though!

I just edited one of my posts above to add this pic of Wrecks Cryan as mud-wrestling "Ox" from Stripes. That look on his face sure is familiar lately!

I really wonder how "bad ass" Ryan really is. What's that saying, the loudest one in the room is the weakest?

Re: ryan and dungy go back and forth

Ryan needs to sit down, shut up, and listen to someone who knows what the hell he is talking about and adjust his freaking game plan or else he will be out of the job in a year.

I doubt it... this is the same franchise that gave Rich Kotite two years.

funny part is how everyone in the media ,dungy being inthe minority is saying "i like what rex ryan is doing" "i like his attitude"
no one goes after is actual game management skills. look at peter king today -says he likes rex ryan giving his team off for the entier week during the bye. I guess ryan provides access to them so they keep being nice.

Re: ryan and dungy go back and forth

2 great movies.

And don't leave out Candy's Del Griffith character in "Planes, Trains and Automobiles"

Neal Page "Those aren't pillows!"

Del Griffith "Did you see the Bears game last Sunday?"

Lol thats fine by me, I'd rather laugh at a loser loudmouth jack *** than a loser tight lipped jack ***. The more he talks the harder he falls

Well that all seems normal enough....

What a sick family. And dad not only failed as a head coach, but also disrespected the head coaches he worked under as defensive coordinator. The Ryans are just angry, arrogant hillbillies.

Yes Rex, you were brought up differently....by your drunken hillbilly of a father.

That's generally the product of someone who was abused either mentally or physically growing up. In the case of the Hatfields....er....Ryans, I imagine it was both.

I believe the term you are looking for is "Quiet Strength"

You know what...I would actually love Rex to be the pats D-Cord. This guy got the attitude this pats d need. Dan Pess respect everybody...from Sanchez and his receiving crop in week 2 to lord knows who else

I'm scratching my head about you, Marley. You post pretty strange statements.

Pats D definitely do not need an attitude- they have a big swagger about them now.

dude the pats have played the tits and ducs. Im not buying tht. I already know how this season will end b/c i've been witnessing it for the past several years. heck, i got a preview of it against denver. pats D after wetting themselves in a big game gets partially bail out by the offense...all they need to do is get a stop...and it come out playing tht soft 10 yard read and react cushion...in OVER TIME pls. I have seen it against giants, colts, etc. I know its going to happen again this year...just watching to see who...

Well Mr. Marley, you are living up to your namesake. That sure is some good sh!t you are smoking. Blaming the DB's for the outcome of the Denver game shows me you know nothing about breaking down games. Cornerbacks don't go and give 10 yard cushions because they feel like it.

you must be the one high. "CBs don't give up 10 yards b/c they feel like it"...well duh. That explains why I dont trust Pess.

Give the man some credit and spell his name correctly would you. It's unbecoming.
