As far as im concerned hes taking his roster spot. Not so sure about where he'll fit in immediately.

If you didn't know EA was Eric Alexander (and how could you not know, he's so popular here) you'd think by the title Matthews was also being re-signed.

That could mean that Aiken goes to being exclusively a special teamer and Tate comes in for snaps. This is definitely going to be interesting.

im not sure tate and levoir are techically occupying a roster space because they are practicing.. they have a week or 2 i think to decide to either activate them to the roster, release or IR them.. so technically 2 spots are still open..

Still not sure why these moves were made today. I have to believe they were pursuing a deal that ended up falling through. The new contracts for TBC and EA likely created additional cap space for this season...why do that if there was no deal?

How common is it for guys that were PUP'ed to immediately be activated and not take advantage of the 21 day period given by the league? Seems like it would be a tall task to have two guys that haven't practiced at all be inserted into the active roster right away, doesn't it? Please pass the link...gotta see it to believe it.

You can't redo contracts twice in one year if the player is still under contract. That's why they were cut before being given extensions.

I doubt it. Tate probably doesn't make the 45 for the first couple weeks. MAYBE in week 9 or 10 is he pushing Aiken/Edelman for WR time. Levoir atleast has a year of time playing with the team, Tate is practicing with the Patriots for the first time this year, and as seen with Galloway, Lewis, and pretty much every other WR besides Moss, it takes some time to get into the Pats' system.
