Randy Moss: "The Monday Night Monster"

People are confusing coverage with ability. All the great WRs have the uncanny ability to "get open". Neither Jerry Rice or Marvin Harrison have (had) expectional height or speed, they just have the uncanny ability to get open.

What makes Moss special is that he has all three, the height, the hands, and the speed, along with that uncanny ability to get open. Most of the Patriots pass patterns have reciever adjustments built into them. Meaning that the WR runs straight at the DB, and depending on if the DB is leaning inside, outside, back or forward, the WR adjusts his route. This is why Brady had trouble last year, he read one thing and the WR read something else.

The Pats offense is just too good to triple cover Moss, they tried it on the goaline last week and he took three DBs with him to the back of the endzone and Gaffney was open for the TD.

Those stats in prime time are incredible

Extrapolating this to a 16 game season gives him 20 TD's.... which makes his 2007 season even MORE incredible.
