Manning Over Brady For All Decade Team?

The only team Manning should make over Brady is the 'sand in the vagina during big games' one

Manning: Better skillsets and stats.
Brady: Better instincts and intangibles.

I take instincts and intangibles any day.

AND glm, nice convo, you won that one.

Your post brings up a question I often ask and never get a satisfactory answer to:

What "skillsets" is Manning better at than Brady?

He has been really good at having wide open receivers to throw to.
He has been really good at standing in the pocket without a pass rush disrupting him.

Are those skillsets?

Once Brady got a pair of good receivers he crushed the NFL record for passing TDs. Peyton has had those types of receivers his whole career (harrison, wayne, clark, etc.) I doubt anyone can say that Manning is more 'skilled' than Brady with a straight face after Brady led the most prolific scoring offense in NFL history in 2007. Oh and Brady still leads in the ring department as well - 3 to 1.

No, but nobody's offered up anything better so far. So......

Is Manning more accurate than Brady? His completion % overall is higher, but does it hold up when you adjust for conditions? What about once you adjust for receiver quality?

Is Manning's arm stronger than Brady's? If so, is the difference really enough to make a difference?

Does Manning read defenses better than Brady? If someone says "yes", what's the evidence?

Is Manning a better leader of football players than Brady? Again, if someone says "yes", what's the evidence?

Is Manning better at maneuvering in the pocket?

Does Manning make better adjustments?

What skills does Manning have that are superior to Brady's? Anyone.....?

Does licking Oreos with his douche bag brother qualify as a skill?

Well, I think we should limit them to QB skills. Manning clearly has the teabagging skill and we don't know if Brady does, for example, but that really doesn't help on the field, as far as I can tell.

Edit: Since it's the offseason, I'll make this a separate thread.
