It will be interesting to see that boring ho-hum Bills offense all these years into a fast paced display.

With the signing of two TEs and adding Owens to the offense it could be a good move.

Once Lynch gets moved into a more prominent role as a receiver out of the backfield he should be very tough to stop.

We could see the 'new' Bills no-huddle offense right away on opening weekend.

No-huddle offense makes perfect sense for Bills - AFC East - ESPN

lol... this is funny. Trent Edwards thinks he can run the offense? Trent Edwards thinks he can handle TO? This is a guy with a gumdrop of experience, who has never done anything, and they are going to have him run a no huddle offense?

I think the Bills are getting way too big for their own britches. Maybe they can become a good offense with the huddle first, and then they can think about ditching it.

I can't WAIT to see them try this week one.

I give it a game before the O-Line makes them discard it...or at least until after the first quarter of Edwards getting pancaked every play.

why the heck would you announce this?

"And on the second play of the 3rd quarter we plan to run a bootleg to left side."

The Dolphins used the wildcat to get a surprise win out of the Pats.

The Bills aren't going to do that now.

A team source says the Bills are gearing up to run a no-huddle offense in 2009.

I could be a team source, just saying I would not call this an official team announcement.

And it could be a whole load of nothing to distract from their shortcomings as a team...and keep the focus away from a certain star receiver.

It's amazing to me that the addition of Owens has apparently transformed a highly inept receiving corp into one of the deepest and most dangerous in the league.

Eh, I agree with those that say that Edwards is inexperienced and that this may blow up in their face but you can't take anything away from their starting duo of receivers. We all know what Evans is capable of and having Owens on the other side will only open him up even more. I don't think they're the deepest corps in the league but I do consider them dangerous.

I probably should have said "inept offense" rather than make it just about the receivers, who with Josh Reed are potentially a really good trio. But outside of those their offense is nothing but question marks and mediocrity, imo.

They still (despite Edwards' intelligence) have nobody to get them the ball consistently, plus they're doing their yearly replacement of the offensive line (with probably 3/5 new guys, and only one guy playing the same position as last year), and their yearly attempt to get a competent TE.

If they do go with the no-huddle I'll personally be surprised if they have a top-16 offense.

Not to mention the big, gaping hole that Peters left behind.
