Maybe the best thing I've seen on ESPN.com in a year. Mandarich was an absolute beast. And to think Green Bay could've had Barry, Deion, or DT instead.

Tough luck for GB. Now just think about all of thoes QB who were selected ahead of Brady...

I remember Bill Fralic, the great player out of Pittsburgh who played for the Falcons, saying Mandarich was 'roiding. Turns out Fralic was right.

With hindsight, it is obvious that Mandarich's out-of-control ego was likely to seek methods such as chose: juicing up. He's a cheater. He called 6'5" Fralic a dwarf, for goodness' sake!

Actually that is what scares me about Nick Kazur. Was he on the same treadmill? Does he have that monkey off his back? I think we will be able tell by how the Pats draft.
