Source: Panthers DE Peppers traded to the Patriots

Vic Carucci of NFL Network reports that Julius Peppers is now a Patriot. Peppers quietly agreed to terms with the Carolina Panthers and has subsequently been traded to the New England Patriots for the #34 pick in the 2009 NFL draft. Included in the trade was Patriots back-up defensive lineman Jarvis Green. The cap relief will allow Carolina to make some moves in free agency.
Terms of Peppers' new contract have not yet been released.
