im very happy with it. I know others arent, but i feel it did us good:
1. 14+ mil off the books (sign bodden and a wr)
2. 34 pick
- with it we are in position to move up or down in the draft to get the guys we covet. Not to mention it is prob the deepest draft in a decade.
3. Although i was 90 percent sure, it confirms Brady is fine.

Option 1 initially, we'll see how things shake out over the next day or two; if no holes are filled with quality bodies with the 18 million clams they shaved off the books, option 1 sets in stone sooner than later...........

I'm OK. We got an almost #1 And the other team still needs to figure out how or if to sign long term.

We don't know if he was perceived as a sure thing around the league. I doubt it.

Every signing of a QB was bad. Doubts could have crept in. We might have overestimated how many teams wanted to pay compensation and have to deal with a big contract.

The whole league knew we had to deal him. If you think we were going to pay 14 mil for a backup, or convince other teams we were prepared to, you're nuts.

Just saying if we could have gotten more, we might have gotten less too, had we waited.

Draft pick in the bank and we are loaded with dough and picks in the high value area.

I've said all along I would be happy with a high #2. So I'm happy. Satisfied. Regarding adding Vrabel, he's slowed down so I'm not too upset about it; I don't think there was a lot of value there. I'm more surprised as Belichick usually keeps his vets around longer.

The Pats first mistake was doing business with Pioli. He's not a moron. I'm happy that the Pats relieved themselves of the 14+ million in cap but I'm more disappointed that teams like Tampa Bay didn't step up and offer their first round pick for Cassel. Statistically, Cassel was top ten in every category. For those teams that didn't step up, I hope Cassel makes them pay for it. I will be watching Cassel and the Chiefs very closely this season and root for Cassel to prove those dumb GM's wrong. How can WR Roy Williams be worth a 1st, 3rd, 6th and a future 7th round pick but Cassel is only traded for a 2nd? If only the Cowboys didn't have a starting QB.

And I voted for option 3.

its hard to get over the fact that one of the cornerstones of the 3 sb winning teams has been traded, but he is playing hole #17 and not worth the 4.4m

for the chiefs sake, i hope cassel pans out
i see it as 20mill+2nd rnder , not bad for a 7th rd qb

I really feel that BB got the best he could out of the deal. I also believe that he did not let friendship or fondness of players get in his way. It would be so unlike him to do that.

I feel that BB gave Pioli a family discount. I think that they should have gotten at least another pick either this year or next.
