(A) Shouldn't the post count rules help?
(B) If it came to it, couldn't you require moderation for joining, or, if it truly got desperate, close the board to new members for a week?

(B) If it came to it, couldn't you require moderation for joining, or, if it truly got desperate, close the board to new members for a week?

A) They can't start new threads, but are annoying because they tend to come into a thread and clog it up before we're alerted and remove them.

B) I already moderate new members now, which is how I catch most of them. It's just tougher when they come in droves and you have to weed through them.

The last time I closed down new members was after last year's "game that won't be discussed". I lifted it after five days.
