But Cassel made it clear, he wants to play at some point -- either in New England or elsewhere. Dan asked him if he'd rather sit on the Pats, or start for the Lions. Cassel wouldn't answer, but he hinted he wants to start somewhere soon.

"I'd love to be playing," Cassel said. "I've been able to prove to people I can play in this league."
