Looking back at the Matt Cassel trade in 09

I thought that was Jimmy g
It was both, fans were positive both would net a first round pick, and both got roughly the same return in a second and change. Fan optimism doesn’t reflect the free market.

That Pat’s team could have made noise in the playoffs, they were pretty well balanced. 4th in scoring, 11th in points allowed. Their omission from the playoffs was so egregious they changed the seeding rule.
The 6 seeded Ravens tore through Miami and Tennessee like soft butter. The ‘08 Pats would have done the same.

But Pitt would have gotten the better of us in the AFCC game. Matt Cassel is still Matt Cassel.

But they wouldn't have faced Miami because they would've been the 3rd seed. Pats would've been a tough matchup with the Ravens.

Pitt had a pretty tough time with us they never really beat us (one or 2 regular season games). We beat them time and time again in the playoffs and both times Steelers won they managed to avoid us. Like us with the Broncos in the 90s we were never getting past them so we got lucky in 96 when Jax did it for us.

Brady has one unofficial record I doubt will be broken... winning three rings after fans floated sentiments that he be replaced for one QB (Cassel) and two rings after they clamored for him to be replaced by a second QB, Jimmy Grapes. In fact, didn't some manage to clamor for Garapollo in his rookie year, 2014? Sounds like Sh*t Pats Fans Would Say. I mean, shoot, Brady was like 37 years old.

Hindsight makes this stuff even funnier.

But to be fair, there were probably more Team Matt Estrella fans than Team Matt Cassel.

Possibly, but I’ll never dismiss BB’s ability to out scheme Tomlin and gain an advantage
