You know, if the outcome of this game didn't decide our playoff hopes, I'd root for Miami to win just to see Favre/Mangini/Jet-fans cry about losing to Pennington. Unfortunately, now I have to root for the Jets.

Haha, that's actually classic. I have a Favre loving friend who came and sat on my couch grinning after Brady went down. Tim to return the favour. I should invite him over for the day and some BBQ.

If the guy is going to use a prepositional modifying phrase in that "proper" manner, then yeah.

You can have bad grammar in songs... You can say, "They is whack" or "Ain't my Taint" or "Shake yo' breasteses."

But if you're going to go through the trouble of using proper English ("by which...") instead of something more colloquial (i.e. "who replaced him") then try to get it right, or otherwise it will seem like you are putting on airs and that you're out of your depths.

Two caveats:

1. I felt free to correct the grammar because I thought it was written by someone else. I normally don't correct people's grammar on this board. So if you wrote it or someone here, I apologize.

2. I'm also bugged by that line in that song, "And I'm proud to be an American WHERE at least I know I'm free." Unless you've incorporated your body as a nation recently, it really makes no sense.
